Ruling Level X's

It sounds kinda obvious, but I've heard two different answers - if you have a trainer or supporter that allows you to search for a "Basic" does that allow you to seach for a level x like Darkrai level x?

Any other info on the use and definition of level x's would also be appreciated.

Thanks

LV.Xs are a Pokemon. Not a Basic, not evolved, but a Pokemon. So no, Roseanne's Research (or whatever you're using) will not fetch one for you.

That won't work. Below the name, Darkrai Lv.X's text says "Level Up." Just like what Zyflair said, it is neither a basic Pokemon or an evolved Pokemon, but it keeps the same stage as the Pokemon below it. But, since it is considered as a Pokemon, you can use Bebe's Search/Poke Ball to get Darkrai Lv.X.

As you want more information about the definition, I'll tell you. Everyone else is correct in saying that you can't search for it with something like that. Unless it specifically says Pokemon or LV. X, it isn't search able. When it comes into play, there is no true stage for it. However, should it matter, it takes on the stage of its previous form. Therefore, should an Omastar de-evolve a Rhyperior LV. X, both the Rhyperior and the LV. X go to your hand. Also, if something like a Gengar tries to snipe a Darkrai LV. X, for example, and you leveled up from the MD one, it gets hit for 60. Also, Palkia LV. X and Dialga LV. X can use the "orbs" from the previous forms from MD. Hope this helps.
