The title of this is a bit weird, but bear with me. This is a little situation I had at Regionals during a fun game.
I was vsing a Gyarados deck with Cursegar, and the end situation was as follows.
My opponent has a Gyarados active with Expert Belt attached, plus 8 damage counters (so 70 HP remaining). I have a Faintingar active that has been leveled-up (so 100 HP remaining). We both have exactly 1 prize remaining. He Tail Revenges me for 110 damage, knocking me out. Then I use Fainting Spell. In the actual match, I flipped tails so I lost, but I want to present a hypothetical scenario.
Is it possible for there to be a state where you have less than 0 prizes left? I ask because, if I had flipped heads on Fainting Spell, I would be entitled to take 2 prize cards, leaving my opponent with 0, and me with 0, plus 1 more prize card to take.
Would this force Sudden Death (as I'm assuming it would), or would I win (if the 'less than 0 prizes' state exists)?
