Hi. I'm Cetanium and will be your instructor. Croatian is a very simple language and I sure you will get the hang of it. OK, lets begin.

Lets start with some basics:

Hello - Zdravo or Bok (it is read like it's written)

Goodbye - Doviđenja (đ is read like a g) or Bok (it means both hello an goodbye)

Good - Dobro

Bad - Loše or Zlo (evil)

Yes - Da

No - Ne

I - Ja (ja is also me)

You - Ti (one person)

You - Vi (more persons)

He - On

She - Ona

It - Ono

Day - Dan

Night - Noć (notcth)

And - I (read it like e)

to be - biti (Shakespeare - Biti ili ne biti.)

Good. Now say them a few times and we can continue.

Now, lets start with full sentences:

It is a good day. - Dobar je dan. (in Croatian we don't use pronouns in some cases, we only use rest of the sentence)

He is a bad boy. - On je loš dječak. (when we describe someone then we use the pronoun)

And now, goodbye. - A sada, doviđenja. (we read and a when we say that someone is doing something else than everybody else or when some action is about to happen)

A sada, doviđenja.

Dobar dan!

Dakle, ono što radimo ovdje? Nemojte mi samo govoriti u ovom čudan jezik? Ovaj jezik je korisno ako ne želite da drugi ljudi znaju što je vaš govore. :p Mislim da ovu temu bi mogli dobiti zaključan. Ja, međutim, mislim da možete dobiti daleko sa slanjem skupina, OVDJE.

Very fascinating language, none-the-less. :D

Now this is something I'd love to do.
So far I can say this for strange reasons: (can you do more basic verbs next?)

Zdravo! Ja biti (is that it?) dobro. Vi biti zlo.

Hehe.

Or would it be:
Zdravo! Ja Je dobro. Vi je zlo.

Can you do alphabet pronunciation next too?

Bok. Bok!

I like it when foreign languages use the same or similar words for certain phrases, greeting, formalities, and such because it makes things so much easier to memorize, but the issue for me is there is a huge problem with people learning them not being able to differentiate between the formal and informal uses which can often times lead to fluent speakers taking offense at the newbie's disrespectful remarks. Such being the case of my uses of "Hello" and "Goodbye" as you wrote them. I take it that the more appropriate terms would be "Zdravo" and "Doviđenja," right?

In any case interesting topic, but yeah...I think it'd be better for the group's section instead because you could easily keep this thing going for a while...

You say it "Laku noć." (lako - easy). You really think that this could become a group section? OK, I'll try it.

to be:

1. I am - Ja sam
2. You are - Ti si
3. He is - On je
3. She is - Ona je
3. It is - Ono je
