I'm arguing with my friend right now... he is telling me that you can have more than 4 of the same pokemon if they are different types. Like, you can have 4 Dialga Platinum and 4 Dialga G in the same deck. He also says that you can have 4 Dialga Platinum and 4 Dialga lvl X.

He is wrong isn't he?

Sorry for the edit. We are also fighting about Gengar Prime - With the Hurl Into Darkness attack... can't you choose ANY pokemon? Basic, evolution, Level X, SP, etc...

A Pokemon's type is not part of its name. I think more of what you are asking is if the name has an extension of G or FB. Pokemon G is different than Pokemon so you are allowed 4 of each. LV.X Pokemon count as the same Pokemon that doesn't have the LV.X in its name.

You can choose any Pokemon with Gengar Prime's attack. It doesn't matter if its a Basic, evolution, LV.X, Legend, or other.~Mark

This is correct; the G is part of the name.

He also says that you can have 4 Dialga Platinum and 4 Dialga lvl X.
This ISN'T correct as the LV.X is NOT part of the name.
