bro why is everything in black bolt/white flare playable? like pretty much everything...except the ex's...

I disagree, Zekrom and Reshiram ex are easily viable one-ofs in Fire and Electric decks and Genesect ex looks extremely playable for metal evolution decks.

If anything a lot of the stage 2s and non-exs we've been seeing are kind of interesting but too clunky to make use of.

We keep getting control cards that will be much better in the right meta. Gothitelle will be much better once Mew ex rotates and it can consistently, in combination with other cards, reduce hand size to 0, or in this case, 1. I don't think top level control players will generally play Krokorok or Krookodile over Salazzle or Banette.
