unicronQ gets credit for most this guide. :D

-Disadvantages to mIRC are that using color text and smilies is very, very complicated to do.
-Advantages are you can check other's IP adresses, identify yourself better and faster, and you can do it all without using an internet browser.
So it's not essential to chat with, but some people like to have it.

First start mirc (if you don't have it, you can get it at http://www.mirc.com/get.html). Just download the one closest to you.
If the mirc options dialog dosn't automaticly pop up, you can get it it by going to the top right, clicking
>file -and going to
>>select server.

First you will want to choose the "connect" options and fill out your name, e-mail (either of which can be fake), your nickname, and an alternate nickname in case your first choice is taken.

You will then want to go to the "servers" option:
serversetup.jpg

and click the "add" button, and fill out the info exactly like below:
setup2.jpg

After the first time you do this, you will be able to choose dejatoons under the irc network box. Click connect to server to connect.

If it is your first time, once you get connected, you might want to register your nickname by typing:
/nickserv register desiredpassword emailadress
example:
/nickserv register mypass [email protected]

You can later identify for your password when you come back by typing /nickserv identify password
before you join the channel.

You can then join the channel by typing /join #pokebeach.com and pressing enter. :
It should look like this when you do it.

I'll edit this topic with extra help later, but for now you'll know how to at least get onto #pokebeach.com with it.
HUGE IMPORTANT PART I LEFT OUT - NOW PUT IN. Anyone who was confused before was because I left out the most important thing. XD So sorry.
