Is the Wii U Dying Before its Begun?

What we can say is that Wii U is on par with the 360 and PS3 in terms of graphics and power, and that PS4 and likely Nextbox will have moved on. So Wii U will have nothing on PS4 and Nextbox. Now that doesn't mean the Wii U will die, it's going to take a lot more than that to knock Wii U out of the running completely, but it will mean that Wii U is basically going to be a niche console that you only buy if you like Nintendo first party games. It will be a "failure" in the sense that it won't be able to compete with PS4 and Nextbox, it will be lacking many of the games and services that most gamers will be looking for in a next gen console.

Bingo.
Isn't it generally accepted that the Wii's main selling point was the gimmick rather than games and that it was pushing towards more of a family based experience? It had a small to medium size library of good games however the WiiU's failure is only due to it's lack of triple A games coming out near release date.

However the only outcome I can imagine is that the WiiU will be completely decimated come the new console releases. It's not like the Wii where people play it even if they aren't hardcore Nintendo fans. People don't want to buy a new console and a new version of a game they most likely already have for full price (Mass Effect 3, Batman AC (besides me who is drooling over the new Deus Ex)). The Wii may have held out if it took the WiiU way of approaching the release of games but the only way the WiiU could have survived if it released one or two of the main franchises near console release.

Bolt, Nintendo makes robots. Meaning they have plenty of money to make sure that the Wii U succeeds.

Okay neat, but unless the robots have anything to do with Wii U sales, it's not really relevant.

And all the money in the world couldn't save the Wii U from failure. Or at least not the kind of "failure" I specified in my last post, where it ends up with good third party games and sales comparable to the kind that PS4 and Nextbox will likely be getting. That kind of success just isn't happening without the console being redesigned from scratch, maybe given a boost in power or a neat new gimmick, but that's probably not happening. So it's pretty much going to be stuck in this position where it's only really being supported by Nintendo fans for its entire life.

New games announced, when they release sales will increase. The games lineup list is a big factor in the item not selling. At the moment, there is simply no reason to get one.
