Ruling How do you take the Professor exam?

I was just wondering, because I made an account and attempted to try it, and it told me it was 18+. Stupid me for putting in the current date as my age, assuming that there would be no restrictions on a pokemon site.

I then made a new account with correct age. It then wouldn't let me do the test because an error had occured, or something along those lines. If it helps, I live in Australia; which is the only thing I could think that could effect it.

Provided you are over 18, there should be something on your main profile page regarding the Pokemon Professor Program. Before you take the exam it will show you a few links with info about what the professor program is about (and how you can professor points, &c).

In the page describing the professor program, there should also be a link farther down that allows you to take the exam.

(My details are a bit foggy seeing as I tend to stay away from the OP pages after it migrated into the main Pokemon website, but I think another professor such as dragonexpert will give you a more detailed answer.)

If you made a new account and it didn't have a POP ID or Player ID, that will be why it gave you an error message. If you need your birthdate changed you will need to email [email protected] and tell them your POP ID/Player ID, your correct birthdate, and name. Once you have done that and got a response go to www.pokemon.com and log into your account. Then click on the My Op tab. Click the spot where it says Professors and a drop down menu will appear. Select take the Exam. It will give you some information about the test, make sure to read it carefully. When you are ready to proceed click the start the exam button. According to the information it gives you you have 45 minutes to answer the 40 questions on the test. You must get a minimum of 32 correct to pass. The email you receive upon completion does not state which questions you got wrong regardless of if you pass or not. The Web Team is working on it. Make sure you submit the test before the time is up because it won't auto-submit the test like it should. If you pass the exam you will notice some new links available in your profile.~Mark
