How does a n00b revive dead threads, some extremely old? I mean, this is a little strange to me, so I am curious. Do they go to like the page count, click like 30 for the extremely old threads and post? Or do the search for something? Cause I just find it funny, just recently(today in fact) a n00b revived a thread back from august of 07. How do they do it? Lol. If this is against the rules, lock, but I just wanted to get some others opinions. Lets keep the spam level down though, I want to get like an ACTUAL answer an opinions and such, not useless spam. Cause I will report.

WHen i did it (Long time ago)
I went to the last page, because i didnt know the rule
the dmaster smash and now i know the rule!

They Google for something that might interest them, and they can't help it if a thread pops up that's 2 years old. That's usually what happens.

Ah. Well. It kinda irritates me, it really shows how n00bie some can be. I don't think I ever did that. Granted, I was an00b, but I don't remember reviving dead threads like that. However, a few months ago, I revived the Bacon-dex lol, cause the 06 looked like an 09 lol. Ah those were the days...lol.

Like if there were say 45 pages, you would go to page like 45, click a random thread and post to it?

Yes that is what some of these people do

The only way I have ever done this is by looking through someones posts and not realizing it had been a year since they made a post on their first page <_< or being linked and not realizing how old the thread was, but I agree that google is most often at fault

Every so often I see one, where someone just joined and posts in old thread and goes away. I just assumed it someone messing with the mods.

Well everytime I see one of those revivals, I just use the report feature. There was only one thread I remeber reviving, however, I asked permission first so I wouldn't be given a warning.

Yeah, unfortunately I can see that happening. Also some new members sometimes don't take the time to actually read the rules, so they go ahead and post on 2 year old threads. So yeah, it pays off to read the rules haha :)

I suppose it's just that those noobs think that any thread can be posted on at any time. It's probably just ignorance of the rules.
