So when we use Crush and Burn, can we discard a boost energy as part of the attacks effect or do we discard it (as per on the card) then discard other energys? Thanks.

You can discard the Boost, yes. It's not the end of your turn yet. But keep in mind that it's only one energy card.
yeah it's like Meganium ex's Power Poison where you're allowed to discard an energy and the defending pokemon is poisoned. alot of people attach a boost and do 90 + poison and discard your boost instead of a grass energy.
