[/size]Well there wasn't a thread for this yet so i thought i would make one.
First of what do you think of him? He is obviously not a Action/Violence movie maker(his only movie that had any Violence in it at all was Princess Mononoke)but i think he is great anyway the creativety is incredible and the movies are very likeable.
What films have you seen by him? I myself have seen

My Neighbor Totoro
Castle In The Sky
Porco googleo
Spirited Away
Grave of The FireFlies
And finally, Gake No Ue Ponyo AKA Ponyo, On The Cliff by the Sea

I love his art style, and his movies are usually astoundingly animated for anime (which has a reputation of containing little to no real animation). My favourite movies of his would probably have to be Howl's Moving Castle and The Cat Returns, but it's honestly very hard to decide -- all his productions are spectacular!
 
I know!! When i saw Ponyo(not Asian) my family were all saying things like, "Wow! That was great!" and such, but i was TOTALLY breathless. IT WAS INCREDIBLE!!!! But hey, aren't all of his movies like that? Like seriously, how can you not state all of the above every single time you watch one of his movies?

Yeah, sometimes when you watch a movie it's like "Okay, that was nice...let's move on...", but after watching his movies it's easy to think about it for hours or days later. Like it's haunting you...in a good way... His movies are ENCHANTING! I loved the castle movies("Howl's Moving Castle" and "Castle In the Sky")!
 
It's very possible that "Castle In The Sky" was the first Anime i ever saw.
I can't remember if i had ever seen any before that(maybe it was so good i forgot about the others xD).
And has any one seen Tales From The Earth Sea? Is it any good?
 
I llove miyazaki's art style as well as the way he tells the story i have seen most of his movies except for ponyo which I hadn't heard of until now.My favorites are spirited away,howl's moving castle,and castle in the sky.
