Player A (Me): Has a Machamp SF Active with 1 {F} Energy, and only 1 Prize Card left. already has 2 Flygon Lv.X's on the bench and a Machoke SF.

Player B: Has an Arceus on the field with no energy or anything, just an Arceus, and one like it on the bench.

Actions: Player B passes, it is Player A's turn. Just for the heck of playing it, plays a Roseanne's. Gets 1 trapinch and 1 {F} energy, but I then do other stuff; powers, bodies, energy, trainers, etc. Since I left my Roseanne's under some trainers I had just played, I forgot about it. I then played a Buck's Training, again just for the sake of playing it. Just before Player B has attacks and claims his last prize, (literally, as I was saying "Take Out" and picking up the last Prize Card), Player A realizes my error. Player B calls a ref over, and the ref says, "Well, looks like you get an aotomatic game loss since it's irreversable." But, the Buck's Training's damage addition would have no effect, being as it was an 1HKO, and it should have been a Prize infraction and had me shuffle my hand back into my deck.

This is my opinion of the situation. WHast do you guys think?

This is a good example of why to discard trainers after playing them other than supporters. I don't feel the gamestate was irreversible, as the deck wasn't shuffled after you played the card or something else more severe. Which attack you used has nothing to do with what the penalty should be. Part of what affects the severity of the penalty also has to do with the K-Value of the tournament. If it was a high level event like Regionals or Nationals, I could maybe see this being the penalty that should be applied.

Penalty Guidelines said:
Gameplay Error Major: When game state has become irreversibly confused due to game-play errors, it is appropriate for
the judge to issue a higher-level penalty. Major game-play error penalties are also appropriate for
minor game-play errors that have left the game too confused to reset.
In addition to the assigned penalty to the offending player, a Caution should be issued to the
player’s opponent for not properly keeping track of game state and rules.
Examples of Game-Play Error: Major include:
• Shuffling your deck mid-game without the use of a card effect.
• Insufficiently randomizing your deck.
• Failing to place Prize cards at the beginning of the game*
• Drawing a Prize card without Knocking Out a Pokémon.
• Drawing too many Prize cards after Knocking Out a Pokémon.
• Forgetting to place damage counters on a Pokémon from a mandatory effect, such as
Poisoned.
• Using a Poké-Power when a card prevents its use.
Recommended Starting Penalty:
Tier 1: Warning
Tier 2: Prize Card
*If the Head Judge determines that the offending player gained significant advantage due to this
error, the starting penalty should be escalated one step. If the Head Judge determines that game
state is irreparably broken, this penalty should be escalated to Game Play Error: Severe.
That is the penalty I feel would be appropriate for the situation.~Mark
