The best way to post this seems to be a discussion thread, so…

The Guitar Game Discussion Thread! This includes Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Band Hero, etc. Discuss anything (Guitar Hero-related), 100%'s, games, features, songs, etc.

I love the Guitar Hero franchise, and I am sad to see it ending. Maybe the people who bought the Rock Band rights will continue that franchise? *hopeful* I own Guitar Hero 3, World Tour, and Metallica. I plan to get some more, and then some Rock Band games. I have 100%'ed What I've Done-Linkin Park on Expert. Easy, I know. Songs I'd like to see?
• Another One Bites The Dust-Queen
• Play The Game-Queen
• That's all for now.

Well, I've said my bit. Get discussing!

Well, on topic, i am saddened, sorta, by the end of the guitar hero franchise. But then again Activision has bigger plans. And there are waaaayyy to many iterations of it

I'm pretty pro at Guitar Hero, I have a life, so I can't beat TTFAF in GH3, but other than that anything is game. I can 100% a lot of songs on expert, and basically everything but the hardest songs on hard. I've beaten every song in GH3, 4, and 5 BUT for TTFAF lol. The game was like impossible to me at first but it got really easy after a week and I started nailing songs.

Oh, Through the Fire and Flames. I can't beat it on Expert, either. Can anyone with a life? =P It's actually easy on Hard, though. Somehow. It's fun to play in training mode, though. It's the intro that really gets me. I think that if I could just get through the intro, it might be possible.

@Darkvoid57, what kind of plans does Activision have?

Agreed. It's been ripped off way to many times. Suprised nobody sued yet.

From a rumor I heard from a friend, he said Queen wouldn't give the guitar games(specificly Guitar Hero) the rights to their songs. But as we all know from this thread rumors are never good.

I have Guitar Hero Three (and I got Aerosmith more recently), I guess being a music-buff I was able to play on expert in about two weeks after I got the game :). I've managed to get four or five stars on most of the expert tracks, though there's some like "One" that just overwhelm me. And then there's Dragon Force, which makes my head spin, my face sweat, and my arms hurt like heck. On Through the Fire and Flames I've managed to pull I think 73% as my best score, and that's all luck considering it was all air-guitar spastic attempts at getting the notes right, haha :D. Sad to hear they're ending the series though, it helped introduce an entire genre. I've played Rockband quite a bit to with family/friends too, though I prefer GH because strumming the RB Fender feels much more "mushy" than the GH controller, and I'm used to just the five-button playstyle. Not to mention I'm lost with drums, and I wouldn't want to sing on the mic to spare people their lives :p. Still, a great game in its own right, I think regardless of game it's just the price tag that keeps me away from new stuff personally, if there was universal hardware for all the games I'd reconsider for sure.

This appears to be my 600th post. Hm.

Hyperbeem, you beat me! I only got 32% on the intro and 68% on the rest. :/

Oh yeah, that song is easy, along with lots of the earlier ones. Most songs in the earlier career mode are meant to be easier, so that they get harder as they go along.

Is anyone interested in doing Co-op on Guitar hero 3,WT,Aerosmith,Metallica,Smash hits,5 or Rock Band 1,2,3 for Xbox 360?

Ive done as good as full combo Cherub Rock on Expert. It took me so long and now im trying to Full combo Monsters.

@Gary Walsh Hardware is universal. You can use your Guitar Hero controller with the game Rockband.

Oh wow, really? I never knew, I should reconsider when I can get the cash then. Is it just for any particular system (I play on Wii), and can you play vice versa with a Rockband controller on Guitar Hero? It's always been a pain in the neck with multiplayer cause we've never had enough controllers playing with friends (at least guitar controllers, I don't own a game recent enough to use drums/mic/keyboard). Interesting :).
