Hi, I'm new here...in fact, this is my first post.

I have been searching these forums, and everyone seems nice and has good words of advice to offer....and i could use some of those words.

See, there is this girl at school. She seems to like me, according to some friends, but she has a boyfriend....the two barely talk and i've never seen them together, but she says she only wants to be with him. I haven't told her that i like her, and i'm not sure what to do...This is my senior year of high school, and she is a freshman (It's only a two year age difference though. Anyways, i've got until june to hit things off with her if i want....i need help.....any words of advice or critisism is greatly appreciated....

RE: Girls....

I have no experience with girls os I cannot help you. *Don't quote me on that, guys. >:{* But welcome to Pokebeach forums! I hope you have a good time here. :]

RE: Girls....

I had the same situation. In that situation always remeber patience is key. Basically wait and wait and slowy get closer to that special someone.

You should keep doing that maybe when you feel close enough you should start talking about relationship. Like maybe ask her why does she just want to be with him and tell her that she deserves better.

Sad thing is in that situation it takes time alot of it until it is appropriate to make your move.

RE: Girls....

Yeah... It's really dissapointing to find out that the girl you like already has a boyfriend... BUT!!! If you wait and get closer to her, she might break up with her boyfriend and then you can get together!

RE: Girls....

Thanks guys. I've been thinking about this also, and I've come up with an idea, tell me what you think:

One, this upcoming thursday we're going to a movie, not a big step forward but hey, she wants to see a rated R movie and i'm seventeen.

Two: Prom. I'm a senior which means i can go to prom, her freshman boyfriend cannot. So, since she is a freshman, i could take her.

Thoughts?

RE: Girls....

Thanks. I figure the only way he's going to prom is if either: A. A Junior/Senior girl asks him or B. He asks an older girl. Neither is gonna happen. I don't even know if the freak is gonna go to the snowball dance (Our winter dance) and if he doesn't, there is another time for me to hang out with her. Any other helpful tips?

RE: Girls....

Ah, we men will never understand the flurtationous and openess of girls.

IMHO: Be blunt. If you assume for the better and blunder into the worst, you get nothing. If you let the question dwell, she will move on and you get....jack squat. If you aproach the situation in a way that only posses a yes or no answer, you have a 50-50 shot. And if the answer is no, and she is truly attached to her boyfriends, you no longer have to dwell on the situation and are free to find another girl to ask to prom.

This is speaking from experience. I let the question wait and the day I finally got around to asking the answer was yes, but she moved away that week. And I could have been going out with her for months. Not exactly a fun ending. But if the answer is no, there is no one to blame, but the important thing is that YOU must initiate it. Girls like leadership, not cowards (if only that were always true, girls are too inconsistant :p)

RE: Girls....

Well, let's see her boyfriend:

Doesnt call
Is an alcoholic
Never talks to her almost at school
Doesn't watch her band and chorus concerts for school
Complained about her doing the musical.

Need i go on?

RE: Girls....

No, that's good enough. I don't need to know that her boyfriend got drunk and.... well, I won't mention it for the little children, but you know what I mean. P.S., don't follow bonly's advice, he doesn't know what pleases a girl.

nah, he's just old school. But old schools techniques don't really work anymore. I can think of a few solutions, but WPM would probably ban me for giving the ideas to little kids. Anyway, feel free to PM on ways to deal with her boyfriend. Other then that, just make sure you know a few details(I mean REALLY personal things) about her, and that you are friends, then hit her with the question. Don't give her time to dwell (it's amazing what they seem to be able to think up, and rarely beneficial to us guys :/).

And you might want to edit the title to girls help. There were like 10 people viewing this thing and I think a few had something else in mind clicking on it XD. Guttery minds :F

RE: Girls....

are u sure that your freinds are telling the truth or judt makin stuff up also gross why do u want to go out with a freshmen when ur a seniour try goin out with some one ur own age anway

See, this is where i differ from most guys. I'm not worried about age, but i like her because we have fun together. On top of it, she plays POKEMON! I mean, she is still playing GBA, but still, many of the same concepts. Anyways, it's a 3 year age gap, but if i was thirty and she was 27, no one would complain. But this isn't about age, and ST, i have pmed you.

RE: Girl help!!

it isn't that big of an age gap but if i were u (wich i'm not cuz i don't have girl problems) i'd MAKE SURE that YOU know she likes u first
