I have been playing the Pokemon Trading Card Game since the start, and started playing the Pokemon Trading Card Game Online game when it was released in 2011. As a Pokemon TCG player, I would like to bring what I have learned through TCGO to the competitive level, and start playing locally with a physical deck.
However, I actually do not know where to start. I have a deck, but I do not know where to go. Even looking through the Play! Pokemon website I was not able to find answers to my questions. I am hoping that the PokeBeach community can help me get started.
My questions are:
- When can I start and where?
- Is there a set date for when everyone restarts for another year?
- When are expansion sets declared 'rotated out'?
- Are there times within tournaments where it is in the Standard Format and Expanded Format?
- What should I know before starting my first tournament?
