Gengar Issues

Hello all,

I'm trying to create an OU team for a friend, however he wants Gengar in the team, and also doesnt want it to die easy (so in otherwords no Destiny Bond and such).

Here is the set I'm trying to build a team around.

Gengar @ Black Sludge

252 Sp.Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP

Ability: Levitate

Substitute
Disable
Focus Blast
Shadow Ball


Can anyone show me a decent set of partners to go with it, so I can easily support the team around Gengar? I would really like to get back to him soon.

You forgot to mention the Nature. As you might know, Timid is recommended for this set.

Skarmory/ Forretress/ Ferrothorn resists Psychic/ Dark/ Ghost moves that Gengar are weak to and can set up Stealth Rock/ Spikes which will greatly help SubDisable Gengar as it is prone to force switches. Blissey is good too as she is immune to Ghost while Gengar can come into her Fighting-type weakness and get a good opportunity to switch in. Blissey can also use Thunder Wave/ Toxic that can cripple/ wear down the opponent as Gengar SubDisables it and trolls to oblivion.
