I mean, we got a Machamp that increased Fighting type's damage by 20 back in 2014, and it never saw any play, but then again, we got multiple other damage modifiers in that set (Strong Energy and Fighting Stadium), which were later followed by Regirock EX and Diancie Prism Star, so maybe it could see play with Mega Lucario ex now that we only have one Fighting modifier?Aaaaaaand that’s what I was waiting for before calling lucario bad. Definitely the consistent damage boost it needed
I still have my doubts, though. We haven't seen Kingambit (+30 damage for basic attackers) get played either. Perhaps it could work in Mamoswine ex, where you have more ways to search out the pieces for this line and set it up.
Yeah, this sounds super thought out.You really don't.
That's why you play the 1 of stadium. Lucario is a deck with fast tempo, you are not meant to be taking out 3 stage 2's.
Your road maps are usually 1-1-2-2 (on an easy two prizer like fezan and one stage two). Or 2-2-2 (on two stages two and a fezan). Can hardly think of any MU where you need to OHKO 3 stage 2's.
I don't see any mega being meta relevant (other than garde), but even if they do, no deck without hitting for weakness can ohko them reliaby. Even the ones that can Ohko, like festival lead (belt + black belt for 190*2) & bolt (6 energies) need specialized tools or very specific board states.
Funnily enough, the only one that lucario wants to ko ASAP has 390 hp due to resistance (and the MU is already unwinnable) so +30 isn't going to fix it anyway. Your deck will just be worse, causing you to lose more games.
Is unrealistic to need more than 4 items and the stadium. And even if you do, and it was super necessary (which it isn't), max belt or kieran/black belt is a better consideration as opposed to a stage 2 that doesn't fix the issue anyway.
