Garchomp SV

Then someone will have to go over to me exactly how Legends work, because I've honestly never cared enough about it to find out. I do possess the top half of ERL....i had both pieces, but sold them. I've since pulled another half. This, like all my decks, will start out as a casual deck, so I'm not necessarily looking for a tournament ready deck right yet.

Anyways, I've run Machamp before. Wayyyy back when I was a Poken00b. LMAO I paired it with Tangrowth SF. Go figure. It was originally with Magmortar SW. How i got that to work as well as it used to is beyond me!

I'm definately liking the Machamp/Spiritomb counter to SP's ideas. Anything that i can do to consistantly counter SP's is good in my book!

SPs not a bad matchup, but you might need a Chomp counter. What you should be worried about is late game decks like Gigas. Sure it does fine in the beginning, but then they get powered up and you lose.

What are you talking about, SV is a garchomp counter, dce, ebelt, and a plus power and its game over for GCVX, by your second turn your hammering every single GCVX they throw at you. even if it's got an egain and you still hit for 220 with x2 weakness, with bts your SV army is just lining up to hammer in a few more! (I've played and played against garchomp sv, i've seen it nuke a luxchomp a few time's, even a sablelock deck with a terrible start). If Gigas is a worry then put in a ambipom G for energy disruption. cya

@minimidget94: Oh
@Tyraniking: I hope by "Gigas" you don't mean "Regigigas." If so i'm not at all worried about it.
@Varit: Sounds like i picked the right deck then!
I'll be sure to post more of a decklist when i get some basic T/S/S cards in.

If you're running Machamp you'll be fine, but trust me, against any other deck you'll lose. I've played both Gigas and Garchomp. Unless you run Machamp or Donphan (Even those can be worked around by Gigas) as your late game attacker you'll autoloss to Gigas.

I myself never did find a good late game tech for Garchomp besides ERL.

^They could just heal the damage, but that'd leave them behind by 4 prizes. Even when I used ERL, I still only beat Gigas a few times. I actually recovered from ERL and won with Gigas.

What's that card do? If i remember correctly it was supposted to be released in HS Triumphant, but wasn't. If so than it means it'll never be out.

It's a trainer that sends one special energy attatched to the defending Pokemon into the lost zone.

This makes Garchomp (And other decks, but mostly Garchomp) EXTREMELY broken. With speed impact you're increasing damage by 20-40 (Depending on what you send to the lost zone) and disrupting energy.

We can't say for sure it won't be released, but for now Garchomp is not so hot. However, this makes a very fun unlimited deck. Energy Removal and such makes it better.

Actually it's been doing really well for me. With machamp, it doesn't have TOO much of a problem with dialgachomp, and luxchomp is pretty much a breeze, since you can snipe their garchomps with luxray+guard claw. It's like a one sided SP mirror match, basically.
