Ruling Flygon

Alright, I've got some scenarios that I'm not sure how to resolve with Flygon.

1. I have Flygon active. It is my turn, and Flygon is poisoned and currently has 130 damage on it. I have a second Flygon on my bench. I pass the turn. My active Flygon's Sand Slammer activates, and then it gets knocked out by poison. I move up the Flygon on my bench. Does the 2nd Flygon's Sand Slammer activate before my opponent starts his or her turn?

2. I am in exact same situation as scenario 1, except I have a Pokémon active that isn't Flygon (there is still a Flygon on my bench). My active Pokémon is poiosned and has 10 HP left. I pass the turn. My active Pokémon will get knocked out through poison in between turns, and I promote Flygon. Does Sand Slammer activate before my opponent starts their turn?

I suppose both scenarios come down to one primary question--which is whether the in-between-turns phase ends as soon as KO's happen, or whether it continues until quite literally everything resolves.
