Strategy
This deck is cimpletely lucked based. Victory Star allows for the re flip of the coin for all the other pokemon's attacks. Zapdos is a heavy hitter but requires lots of energy. Lazers for stall and damage support. Still need to fill a couple more spaces. Im thinking a mime or two but I dont know what else. Please help.

Edited to coincide with the rules! :D ~Kecleon

You could try this Camerupt from Boundaries Crossed out. The energy cost is somewhat reasonable with some good status inflictions on it.

There is also this card from Next Destinies to think about.

Out of all the Pokemon to use with Victory Star in you deck, the only one that is remotely good is Zapdos. There's a Vanilluxe that with Victini has a ~93% chance to Paralyze, and I'm pretty sure it's in Next Destinies, but it could be in Noble Victories in which case it's out of format. I don't think it got a reprint in Legendary Treasures.

Yes, that particular Vanilluxe is out of the current format, which is a shame because that isn't a bad effect there. There is this one from Plasma Freeze, which does 60 damage per heads flipped depending on how many energies are on it, and it needs only 1 to start up on.

Keep in mind for ChillMax you redo the entire attack. You don't just redo one flip.

The same can be said for the Zapdos as well, but the potential damage is outrageous...just like the energy cost lol.

My thought process was to run basics and test my luck for the most part. A friend of mine tried running blastoise/Vinnilux but it never worked. Im just thinking that taking the time to put stage 2's on the bench would take away from the quick setup of some basics

Indeed. Blastoise/Vanilluxe may sound nice in theory, but you'd need six Energy to statistically KO and EX, and at that point, you're better off with Keldeo.

i would put camerupt for the special status and
option1: volcarona to make the burn stronger + both pokemons works with DCE
option2 playing enhanced&crushing hammers and combining those with moltres ex (destructive flame), you discharge the grass energies, then you solve the problem of "verdant wind" (virizion ex) then camerupt is more viable
