Hey guys, and welcome to our swanky new forum: Fake Creations!

Simply put, this is a forum dedicated to the art of faking. It will mainly be made up of two things: Fake Cards, and Fake Games. But really, anything that you can stick "fake" in front of can probably go here.

Remember that regular Pokemon art just goes into Fan Creations, as usual. If you have a gallery in Fan Creations and want to display a couple of your Fakemon designs, then you can post them there- however, if you have a lot then it's better to post them here, in the faking forum.

Like all forums, threads need to meet certain standards for them to be allowed. Fake TCG sets and games are huge projects that need proper management and dedication from the leader. If a thread does not look promising, we really will not hesitate to lock it.

Use this thread to ask questions, express your opinions, and everything else. Have fun!
 
First of all, nice work, bacon! I feel that this forum is well needed, so props on taking the opportunity to create it.

I do have a question, actually: fake sets. Do you have a list of requirements for them? Also, do you have to make the actual cards, or is it possible to get away with just making spoilers?

Oh, I should point out that it was WPM who added this new forum (and all the others you'll see soon). I don't recall who initially suggested this forum, though (might have been B-Ray).

I don't have a list of requirements, it's mainly the same common sense that you can apply to all parts of the Pokebeach forums. As a general rule, make the first post long, detailed, and neat. Fake Creations has just been born, so this may change in the future and we might end up adding more specific requirements.

For Fake sets, they should have the actual cards and not just be limited to spoilers. It's a shame, but spoiler sets never tend to do that well and end up breaking a lot of rules (notably spam). Your Fake cards don't have to be spot-on perfect or anything, all we are really asking is for a good deal of effort to be coming from the thread creator.

Also guys, if you wish to revive a thread in Fan Creations that should be here, just PM me and I'll move it for you.
 
Im kinda stuck using Paint to create my fake cards. Problem is, I have very limited options. Its impossible to edit text the way I want it. And for the energy symbols, I cant figure out how to make it blend in with the rest of the card. The way I have it looks like it was just copy pasted on top. (it was, but...)

Any ideas?
 
Tip mate, you can't fake in paint. I know that some people (such as Nekoban Ryo) use a free program called The GIMP to make fakes, although I wouldn't know how to.
