Hello everyone! I have a city marathon coming up soon and wanted some feedback on my list. Feel free to test this list and please let me know how it works for you and any changes that you test. Also, comment any suggestions/thoughts/criticisms you have. Here is the list so far:

Pokemon: (16)

  • 3x Spritzee (FLF)
    2x Aromatisse (XY)
    2x Xerneas (XY)

    1x Charizard EX (Combustion Blast)
    1x Mewtwo EX
    1x Suicune
    1x Keldeo EX
    OR 1x Virizion EX
    1x Aegislash EX
    2x Manectric EX
    2x M Manectric EX
Items/Supporters/Stadiums: (33)

  • 3x Max Potion
    2x Muscle Band
    2x Ultra Ball
    2x VS Seeker
    2x Manectric Spirit Link
    1x Surprise Megaphone
    1x Dowsing Machine

    4x Pokemon Fan Club
    3x Professor Sycamore
    4x N
    3x Colress
    2x Lysandre

    4x Fairy Garden
Energy: (11)

  • 4x Rainbow Energy
    7x Fairy Energy

Strategy:

The strategy is self explanatory for the most part. Set up aromatisse and use its ability to move energy around your board as you wish, setting up various attackers that counter respective decks of the meta, and heal with max potion not losing energy in the process--not to mention free retreat. There are several other pokemon that I am trying to fit in the list such as Seismitoad EX, Aegislash EX, Yveltal EX, and perhaps Virizion EX. However, this list is especially tight with a higher number of supporters and spirit links, which I am still testing. The reason that I have a higher number of supporters and a lower number of items is a way that Im trying to add consistency as well as an easier seismitoad match-up that normally causes issues. The strategy shifts for each match-up in what you bench and how you play. Here are a few examples:

Pyroar/Attackers

Traditionally, the mega for this deck has been Kangaskhan EX / Mega Kangaskhan EX as a Pyroar counter, as well as an all around good attacker. I am electing Manectric and its mega for a couple of reasons. the ability not to end one's turn mega evolving is great. Its typing helps to deal with Yveltal/Yveltal EX, Lugia EX, and the like, while giving great damage to any pokemon that has a tool attached. Also, since the mega's attack hits for 110, I don't have to worry about whether too attach a muscle band or a spirit link. This is still one of the harder match ups that I'd like to fit in a Seismitoad EX or two to slow down--or extra VS Seeker to act as extra Lysandre. Aegislash can also be problematic for Pyroar depending on their basic energy count vs. their DCE count.

Yveltal EX Variants

This is one match in particular Manectric is quite exceptional in. I don't even have to set up the mega, as Assault Laser is a threat to Yveltal EX with or without a tool attached. As for the mega, it is also useful to attach fairy energy back from the discard to advance your game-state even further--especially if you just OHKO'd an opposing Yveltal EX with several energy attached. Thus, it would cut your opponent's energy supply and increase your own. Suicune is also a great attacker, and can be devastating depending on the Yveltal Variant. Garbodor can be problematic, but isn't an auto-loss by any means. Aegislash EX is also a great way to slow down the speed of the opponents KOs barring Lysandre. Forcing them to use only basic energy cuts down the overall damage output into the 2HKO or better range, and in that case, max potion is a great ally. This is the primary match-up in which the Keldeo EX vs. Virizion EX decision matters. Virizion can block Hypnotic laser, but is limited. If my active has a Rainbow Energy attached and they Lysandre or Enhanced hammer, then Virizion isn't doing too much justice. Keldeo EX can Rush In and wake up the active Pokemon if its asleep--assuming its not knocked out--and then retreat for free off of Fairy Garden. Both are affected by Garbodor, but Keldeo can still dish out decent damage with Rainbow energy Attached, while still being able to hit Aegislash EX with only Fairy Energy Attached

Donphan/Walls/Robo Sub

Both Kangaskhan and Manectric are weak to fighting, so neither is particularly strong against Donphan, but there are various attackers that are able to OHKO opposing Donphan--Suicune, Keldeo, Charizard, Mewtwo, and Xerneas. In this match-up, being able to max potion in between spinning turns allows my attackers to have longevity to better counter the deck. Aegislash is also quite great as they have to 2HKO it at best requiring a Silver Bangle and Fighting Stadium. With 4x Fairy Garden and a Dowsing, the stadium war is usually in my favor.

Virizion/Genesect

Suicune and Charizard are helpful in this match up. G-Booster can cause issues for any deck, but in the cases where you can max potion off some damage, it can limit the amount of prizes that they can take without a OHKO. This is dependent on which player is able to set up first and get steam going. Red Signal can be an issue as well, so it is important to keep the extra energy on your bench spread out--attached to the most appropriate targets in case your lone Aromatisse gets KO'd, so that you don't lose it all to a single Lysandre/Red Signal. Its important to do this in each game, but particularly in this one because their main attacker has a built in Lysandre.

Bronzong/Attackers

This match is made better by the presence of Charizard, mainly to deal with Aegislash EX, and Suicune as well. Manectric is unique here in the respect of the overlooked resistance to steel. I actually have played this match-up a ton the other way around and the one charizard gave me such a difficult time as I couldn't OHKO it, the next turn it would get healed and KO another one of my pokemon. Dialga variants also don't care to oppose an Aegislash EX due to the higher count of DCE.

Aromatisse/Attackers

The mirror match is quite odd actually, as both players are teching against the meta, and are using various different attackers. In my list, Suicune may seem to be great for the mirror, but it is quite fragile upon the realization that Xerneas (XY) can OHKO it with Rainbow Spear. The absolute, best card in here for the mirror match is Aegislash EX. It forces them to not use their Rainbow Energy to attack, thus limiting the attackers they can use. The only Way the mirror match can OHKO it is for an opposing Mewtwo EX to attack with 7 energy attached--6 with a Muscle Band. In either case, Fairy decks usually play around 6-7 basic Fairy Energy, so its unlikely that they would have all of them in play and wish to OHKO Aegislash EX, unless its for the last two prizes. Otherwise, I could return KO with my own Mewtwo EX, or Charizard EX & Muscle Band with Combustion Blast. A trade that is quite alright with me.

Thanks for reading! Let me know what you think.

Well, I'm trying to use a fairy toolbox as well. Currently I am running the following cards:

Pokemon (14)

  • 1 Xerneas EX
    2 Xerneas
    2-2 Aromatisse
    1-1 M Manectric EX
    1 Seismitoad EX
    1 Suicune
    1 Charizard EX (Combustion Blast)
    1 Yveltal EX
    1 Virizion EX
Trainers / Supporters / Stadiums (35):

  • 4 Professor Sycamore
    3 N
    2 Colress
    2 Pokemon Fan Club
    2 Skyla
    2 Lysandre

    3 Max Potion
    2 Head Ringer
    2 Muscle Band
    2 Startling Megaphone
    2 VS Seeker
    1 Dowsing Machine
    1 Evosoda
    1 Manectric Spirit Link
    1 Tool Retriever
    1 Ultra Ball

    4 Fairy Garden
Energy (11):

  • 7 Fairy Energy
    4 Rainbow Energy

Edited to be all pretty and stuff. --Mora

I don't wanna run 16+ pokemon because it could diminish the chance to start with Xerneas. Also 1-1 M Manectric EX is not very consistent (if one of them is in the prizes, it would be bad), so I'm thinking about taking away the Seismitoad EX and Yveltal EX to include another 1-1 M Manectric EX. I also want to include another Xerneas, taking away 1 Startling Megaphone (where I play I'm not seeing as many Garbodors as before). Because I would only use the Rainbow Energy with Suicune or Virizion EX, I would switch 2 Rainbow Energies for 2 Fairy Energies. But I still have to test if this would work, as I don't have another M Manectric EX... I'd like also to include another Ultraball and Manectric Spirit Link, but I don't know which cards I would have to take away...

Hey, sorry it took me a while to respond, I just got back in town from holiday travels. I see your point of not wishing to run more pokes to be able to start Xerneas, and I am having a tough time with space--I was trying to run 3x Xerneas to up my percentage, but it tended to be dead later on in the game. Note that I run 12 basics to your 11, so its a quite similar percentage, the extra Aromatisse and M Manectric can make it look like a much larger difference. I initially tried a 1-1 line of Manectric EX and a 2-2 line of Aromatisse, but I was having issues once VS Seeker came out, because lysander became that much more potent. My Spritzee & Aromatisse began to get knocked out early on and my awesome luck set in of having a piece of the other Aromatisse line prized, thus my engine wasn't able to be set up. However, running thicker lines of these two Pokemon increased my overall Pokemon count by 4. I was trying to run a lower count of pokes, but didn't have enough space for an adequate number of tech attackers. Another way I was thinking of countering this was instead of a third Aromatisse, and maybe a Pokemon Fan Club, for 1x Lysandre's Trump Card and a second VS Seeker. This way, unless both of my VS Seekers or my Trump Card is prized, I will have an unlimited amount of all of the cards in my deck. Since my Trump Card can never send itself to the deck, it will recycle the VS Seeker each time. Then, I can Seeker the Trump Card Continually if need be, while also having a counter Flareon and/or Night March decks.

In your list, I like the Seismitoad EX. As I mentioned, I have been trying to fit in a copy myself. I do enjoy the 2-2 line of Manectric in mine--and would recommend that you try it. Both Pyroar and Yveltal are quite prominent in my area. Virizion was in my initial list, but wasn't doing too much justice for me. It was a nice attacker against Seismitoad, but Keldeo serves a similar purpose and allows me to hit Donphan for weakness, which is also popular in my area. I have also been thinking of dropping my Mewtwo EX for an Yveltal EX, and after seeing your list, I will test it. Also, have you tried 4x N and 3x Professor Sycamore in your list? With 3-5 Stage 1 Pokemon, I always have a hard time discarding my hand, especially early on.

I'm going to do some experiments this weekend. I'm switching the Yveltal EX for another Manectric EX, take 1 Sycamore for 1 N, and take 1 Startling Megaphone for 1 Ultraball. After that, I will consider switching 2 Skyla for 2 Pokemon Fan Club or to 1 Fan Club and Lysandre's Trump Card, or even include another Xerneas if Seismitoad EX does not correspond to my expectations. Also, another line of 1-1 Aromatisse wouldn't be bad at all, but I will try this way first to know if only 2 Aromatisse is a weakness. As this deck has a lot of Basic Pokemon, we have to play a lot to see how well it handles by itself, as each start is different from another.

I chose to take away Yveltal because it hits, with a Rainbow and Fairy Energy, 60 damage (20 + 2 energies). Manectric EX also does 60 damage for a Rainbow and Fairy Energy, and it would also increase the chance to get it sooner. Also, as many players are using Yveltal EX, it would be excellent to have at least 2 Manectric EX, as it would OHKO if there is any tool attached (that's why a head ringer would come in handy). M Manectric would be an excellent attacker, but Manectric EX does a good job by itself; I would use it more for the high HP and to counter Pyroar.

I'm having a lot of good time with this deck, trying to master it! Let's share more opinions! I will post the results by monday!

I played against a similar list at the cities tournamnet I played at. The individual playing the list had landorus EX, aegislash EX, Virizion EX as well as some double colress energy. He did not run Keldeo EX, or charizard EX. Aegislash is a good wall card against decks like Donphan that require alot of special energy, Landorus is a good card to have to spread some damage which actually won my oppenent the game, and Virizion EX is good for fighting status conditions.

Sounds good, please let me know how the testing goes. :) I just took my variant to a LC yesterday, it did well, 2-1, but playing against a steel deck with 3 aegislash revealed my heavy reliance on rainbow energy. I am swapping up my attackers to include aegislash and Mewtwo again. I ended up winning on that game bc they could never OHKO my charizard--3 max potions and a dowsing machine later, my charizard took out the 3rd aegislash for the win. However it was luck on my part bc he didn't see one of his 2 muscle band left in the deck off of a Colress for 10 that charizard didn't get KOd, hence my concern for other attackers that don't require rainbow to attack. Also, my Keldeo was prized that game. I did like the 3rd spritzee, but the 3rd aromatisse may be something that could be cut. Manectric definitely own vs the yveltal/seismitoad deck. Lost to donphan bc I couldn't hit a second rainbow for combustion blast. Sad moment, but great day so no complaints here.

I do like landorus for spread damage, but manectric covers that role for me. Aegislash is going into the list for sure, debating trying virizion over Keldeo again but I love the extra donphan hate lol. How did he/she end up doing overall?

Also, I updated the OP with changes I am currently testing.

He made it to the top 8 for sure. Im not sure how he did after that because I had to leave but it was at the South Bend City tournamnet.

    3x Colress

This is still one of the harder match ups that I'd like to fit in a Seismitoad EX or two to slow down--or extra VS Seeker to act as extra Lysandre. Aegislash can also be problematic for Pyroar depending on their basic energy count vs their DCE count.

Dialga variants also don't care to oppose an Aegislash due to the higher count of DCE.

Thanks for reading! Let me know what you think.

That list looks epic, you don't mind if I base my list around the skeleton do you? that looks extremely consistent. Probably one of best fairy tech lists I've seen lately. Very nice.

To return the favor, for what it's worth, I'll post up my list once its complete. =P

Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely, by all means. Please, do let me know how it works for you. My city marathon starts this weekend, so I will try to write a report for each one that I use this list for and post the results here. I'll also post any changes I make between events, if any.

Also, upon request, I have updated the strategy section, and have added other match-ups. If there is a match-up that I've missed, then feel free to post it here, and I'll update the OP as soon as I can, Thanks!!

Hey there, Fish Ninja.
First of all, nice list.
I feel like M Manetric is more of a problem than a solution. 210 HP makes it vulnerable to G-Booster+Deoxys EX (which most Virigen players run) also more vulnerable to a 2HKO from Night Spear+Muscle Band. It also takes 2 more spots than a Kangaskhan line, spots you could use for more techs or consistency cards. Also, M Manetric alone does pretty much the same as Aromatisse if you have a Max Potion in your hand and 2 of them in play. I'm gonna test it however, as it seems like a good idea.
Also, why the Combustion Blast Charizard? The Stoke one can get you Energy into play and OHKOes anything weak to fire anyway.

Agreed that the 210 HP is undesirable, but Virgen isn't that common in my area--given it is still an issue. The main reason I prefer Manectric is the typing, dark is the most popular deck in my area, and it hits for 110 that perfectly KOs Pyroar. Charizard is for Aegislash EX and Dialga EX as it can KO each with a wing attack with a Muscle Band after an Overrun from a Manectric EX. Also, Combustion Blast and a Muscle Band can OHKO anything that has 170 HP, which is quite fantastic, yet mainly used for the last two prizes of the game to avoid a return KO in which I lose 4 energy.

Well if Yveltal is popular in your area, nvm about the Kan.
I'm still not convinced about Charizard. It's a 1-of, thus not very reliable to end a game unless you look for it. If everything goes well however, your bench will be full and your search cards used/useless.

Understandable, and Charizard is definitely not part of every game, but can be useful in every game via Combustion Blast. Finding him is quite easy with the 4 Fan Club; after a pokemon gets knocked out close to the end of the game, and I have an opportunity, then I may grab it. If nothing is being knocked out, then I'm prob winning anyways. Anytime when looking at toolbox decks, bench space is always tight, and learning about what to bench in certain match-ups is the hardest part about playing the deck. Although, Charizard isn't mandatory by any means. I just care for it because an Over Run from a Manectric EX into a Muscle Banded Wing attack is a KO on any 170-180 HP pokemon thats Weak to fire, primarily Virizion EX, Genesect EX, Aegislash EX, and Dialga EX. You could drop it for something else, as with any tool box, preference is everything.
