Ruling Expert Belt Rulings

Hey all - this has probably been asked somewhere but i cant seem to find it.

Lets say a pokemon has an attack (ie Call for Family) where no damage is delt to the defending pokemon. with expert belt on it will 20 damage be delt to the defending pokemon using Call for Family, or will the attack just search?

Yeah, it's been asked before. The answer is:

An attack cannot do more damage, unless it does damage to begin with. CfF will just search even if you have a Belt on, because it does no damage to start with.

Its just like darkness energy that does +10 but does not do 10 you must have some sort of base damage first for it to add 10 same thing for exp belt.
