'Evolving Skies,' August's English TCG Set!

If this is all there is to the "everybody rollout" archetype, it doesn't look so hot. If you want to nullify VMaxes, then Altaria, Decidueye, or Glaceon VMax are better options, the former 2 since they block Vs as well and Glace because VMax bulk. If there's other support, then it may have a shot.

  • Sandshrew, Jigglypuff, Wooloo - cool that these three and Marill will be in Evolving Skies. The problem on these "Let's Roll" pokemon is just doing 100 for 2 energy isn't enough to OHKO 3 Prized Pokemon. You always capped at 200 (applied weakness) means it wasn't enough. Sure you can KO a Crobat using Sandshrew, but that's it. Jiggypuff can't even KO RS Urshifu V without Vitality Band. Second problem, bench space. You have no room for Draw engines etc, and also, Mew is rotated. So some Pokemon that do 30 spread can use Telescopic Sight to take 6 prizes in 1 turn without too much effort. 3/3/3
  • Chansey/Blissey - same thing except it counters RS Urshifu with Scroll of Swirls and Passimian. 3/3

The big flaw with vmax blockers specifically is that most Vs have attacks and if you see any of these turn 1 you just don't evolve your Vs

So it's another set of "tagged" cards, much like Mad Party (though with infinitely better Pokemon selection). While the Weakness coverage isn't terrible, they're simply too weak and the VMAX-only shield isn't very impressive.
Personally, I find this way of designing archetypes pretty boring. Nothing to think about, simply smash all the tagged cards into a deck and see if it's good.

Lmfao what the hell is this

Unless we're getting a Sky Field reprint, I don't get the point. They could have at least made it 30x and also count the active, especially given the lackluster protection. It doesn't even have an engine!

Meh, as others have pointed out this is just too weak given how much HP VMAXes are packing and there are better ways to block damage from VMAXes.

There’s a slight issue with that spread damage assessment: Telescopic Sight only deals additional damage to Benched Pokemon V/VMAX or Pokémon GX.

This archetype only needs ONE thing to be decent and that's an in built draw engine from a Sandslash, Wigglytuff, or Dubwool. Other than that, this is hot trash. Inconsistent, weak, poor gimmick, and banking only on the hopes that you can hit their V for weakness.

It needs a draw engine, a Sky Field reprint, a Darkness attacker, and an ability that boosts damage.

Then it could be tier 2.

Yeah, Blissey should have at least been 30x, especially with the higher energy cost. Then it could have been Blissey as a default attacker, and Jigglypuff, Marill and Sandshrew to hit for weakness if needed.

Thinking about all of that, it would be cool if Sandslash, Dubwool, AND Wigglytuff also had some sort of ability that boosted the archetype. Sandslash could increase damage, Dubwool could be a draw engine, and Wigglytuff could expand the field similarly to Eternatus VMAX only for "everybody rollout"

If they had all of this it would be a very fun archetype that would actually require skill. Think TPCI Think!!

Since none of the rollout Pokémon revealed thus far are Pokémon V neither Passimian nor Telescopic Sight would increase the damage output of bench snipe attacks.

Creatures needs to do the thinking, not TPCi.

That would actually be creative. A deck with multiple stage 1 lines that's hard to set up, but nearly invincible if you succeed in doing so.

In addition to all the critics you all already gave, chansey doesn't even have "everybody rollout" attack. So it's even more clunky.. the 3 colorless cost on blissey is honestly a joke. Even with an hypothetical sky field reprint you're only gonna deal 160 damage (if ALL your bench is rollout). I don't think this can ever be playable, it's just supposed to be a fun but useless mechanic.

If every card had the same power creep that the Blissey line has had over the years, then we could actually have a healthy game!

This is a cute gimmick, I like when they do this sort of thing. Of course, I do wish it was, well, better. The damage output is extremely pathetic; not only is 100 damage barely anything these days, but you have to dedicate your entire bench to do it. Yikes!! VMAX blocking is fun, but it's not enough to make this usable. Sad...I was about to get excited for this.

Minor point but I wish they would give Blissey higher HP to reflect the games.
