Welcome to my poem/lyrics thread! Here I will be posting poems I've created once or twice a day, to keep things active, and each poem will be saved so whomever can read them whenever. Open criticism is welcome as well (also please notice I tend to write lyrically)!

Twilit Sol
Irrationality is all around me
Flowing effortlessly in a primal beauty
In a sense creating rationality
Defining the basis of our totality
Creating boundaries to hide what we could never be
In this sense I've isolated my vulnerability
Do you see now the symbolism of our individualism
And why we cast ourselves out of this dead system
Remember these monsters
And to never be like them
If you aren't careful, your soul, they'll condemn
Burn our regrets away
Each moment is temporary and is never here to stay
Not every predator can be kept at bay
Solar Phase
Rebound the contious thought
Realize what every action will have wrought
The possibilities of what we can and cannot
Every action requires sacrifice
This world will pick apart even the smallest vice
We rebuild the night
To make way for the moon to give us sight
Instead of externally, look to the inside
We don't choose to be blind
But sometimes we and others have the misfortune of looking behind
We reinvent the day
So the sun will keep our wolves away
Hell is what you make it
So think of it as you may
We wait for an eclipse
To exorcise the demons at bay
I've found the hard way
You're only on this world
For as long as you want to stay

A soul within wires
Pulsing chords of electricity form into fluid desires
Maintaining momentum of limb motion
Kept in check by mental notion
Seeking what all things that move are needing
Energy to keep the cycle sequencing
Organs transform, a fusion between
With each methodical beat, flesh and machine
The cerebrum that has overseen
Is the essence of your very being
Silent, even while talking
With both eyes closed a third will open
This lucid vision now goes unbroken
This pineal state is a token
Taken from nature
Found in every creature
Yet only encountered when unwoken
The unconscious will act, even if no words are spoken
The soul will react, even when the body remains frozen

As the light escapes this life doesn't fade
This body won't sink

There are wolves
And there are sheep
Covered by their wool
