Dumb Question

I was looking around and I got this crazy idea for practicing for real tournaments. "What if I join an online TCG tournament?". I instantly came to this forum and wondered if anyone has held tournaments recently and haven't noticed any going on. I guess I'm just curious if anyone plans to hold one soon and if not. Is there anyone who can help me with any tips on how to start a tournament and keep it running well?
