Hi
I made this team very carefully with much of strategy thinking but I am not sure
maybe it needs some improvements.( or even a lot..) I will appreciate any suggestion tips or simply your thoughts
Thank you : )

dragonite.gif

Dragonite @ Choice band
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: atk:252 def:4 spe:252
Adamant nature
~Earthquake
~Outrage
~Extreme speed
~Fire punch

Dragonite is my revenge killer.
Mainly used in order to pick weakened opponents with priority +2 ES
He can also function as a great wall breaker in mid game if there is no SR.
Earthquake is for Aegislash and Tyranitar, fire punch is for Scizor and Ferrothorn
and outrage is for potential sweep in late game.

staraptor.gif

Staraptor @Choice band
Trait: Reckless
EVs: atk:252 def:4 spe: 252
Jolly nature
~Brave bird
~Close combat
~Double-edge
~U-turn

Staraptor is my mid game wall breaker.
Its getting worn down quite easily but it is so powerful
with reckless choice band stab brave bird only few can stay alive after it.
It has double edge for those who resist brave bird such as Rotom-w
and it has u-turn to scout in rare cases I need it instead of just spamming brave bird.

excadrill.gif

Excadrill@Choice scarf/ Air balloon
Trait: Mold breaker
EVs: atk:252 def:4 spe:252
Adamant nature
~Shadow claw
~Rock slide
~Rapid spin
~Earthquake

My rapid spinner that supports the above very well
plus can switch in when trying to hit Staraptor with electric type move
or toxic Dragonite. Shadow claw may seems weird choice over iron head but its very
good against ghost that want to spin block him. choice scarf is very good
with MB earthquake but air balloon lets it change moves and gain extra immunity for on hit.
I like choice scarf better but i kind of afraid that it will be too much choice items for one team.

rotom-wash.gif

Rotom-W@ Chesto berry
Trait: Levitate
EVs: hp:248 def:216 spe:44
Bold nature
~Hydro pump
~Volt switch
~Will-o-wisp
~Rest

Since most of my team are physical attackers burning is one of my key threats.
Rotom-W don't mind to get burned and later on get rid of that with rest.
Its also create sometimes a volturn situation with staraptor which is nice.
Rotom-W can spread its own burn status on the opponent physical threats
which is very important in the current metagame .
The evs in speed are to outspeed jolly Azumarill

venusaur-mega.gif

Venusaur@ Venusaurite
Trait: Thick fat
EVs: hp:252 def:240 spe:16
Bold Nature
~Sludge bomb
~Giga drain
~Synthesis
~Sleep powder

Venusaur makes sure no grass Pokemon will be able to lay leech seeds
or any powders without worries.
Sleep powder is not always working but even when it misses
it can force switches.
it also enjoys Rotom-W around to protect him from flying type moves.
Speed evs for outspeed mega Mawile.

aegislash-blade.gif

Aegislash@ Leftovers
Trait: Stance change
EVs: hp:252 atk:252 spe:4
Adamant Nature
~Swords dance
~Shadow claw
~Shadow sneak
~Sacred sword

Aegislash is my set up sweeper in mid to late game.
It can switch and take ice type attacks on Dragonite and psychic attacks
on Venusaur if needed but is preferred to not getting involved until it can
feel free enough to start a set up. If it must come in before threats had been
cleaned it still enjoys the 2 flying type and 1 levitate teammate it has to protect
him from a common earthquake.

RE: Dragonite and Friends (OU)

This team looks pretty solid, but I notice a weakness to Mega Charizard X. It can 2HKO your entire team after a DD and IIRC outspeeds Scarf Excadrill. Your best bet ATM is to try to let it wear itself down with Flare Blitz recoil and finish it off with priority, and this isn't a very reliable way to take something down, especially one that can run Roost. A good way to fix this would be to replace Staraptor with something that can handle it such as Azumarill, Heatran, Quagsire, or Landorus-T. Dragonite is already an effective wallbreaker and Staraptor dies to recoil or revenge killing really easily, plus having half your team use Choice items, two of which are Band, could be an issue. Azumarill would probably be your best replacement as it is the most offensively oriented replacement, especially with Belly Drum. It would certainly like having walls weakned by Dragonite before trying to sweep with BD.

I would keep Scarf on Excadrill, but replace Shadow Claw with Iron Head. The only spinblockers you will see in OU are Aegislash and Sableye. EQ hits them hard enough and Iron Head would be the only move on your team that can hit Fairies for super effective damage.

RE: Dragonite and Friends (OU)

Azumarill instead of Staraptor sounds really good. It still fills
the wallbreaker part and Excadrill still provides a good switch
for SE electric attacks so I still got my Mega Manectric lure.
But it is completely walled by opposing M Venusaur and I don't
have something good for it right now without Staraptor.

Landorus-T is also a great replacement that can form a better
volturn with Rotom-W and its flying typing similarly to staraptor
helps to protect Aegislash from Earthquakes.Plus setting Stealth
Rock which is always helpful.

What do you think?

About Excadrill - Thanks that is a good point.
I have no reason to use Shadow Claw over Iron Head when I got Mold Breaker Earthquake.

RE: Dragonite and Friends (OU)

Physically defensive Landorus-T or Azumarill would both be fine replacements. As for Mega Venusaur, Aegislash can wall it and set up on it while Dragonite can 2HKO with Outrage. If you want to check Venusaur further than you could maybe run Lati@s over Dragonite. Outrage isn't as reliable with Fairies running around and Lati@s is one of the best checks for Venusaur.

RE: Dragonite and Friends (OU)

It just that Mega Venusaur is something that gives me trouble almost
every battle and I see it more frequently that MegaZard X. Specially
those with Earthquake or Hidden Power Fire against my Aegislash.
I cannot give up on Dragonite because that is one hell of a revenge killer
that makes this team really work. So I guess I'll leave Dragonite with Outrage
and Aegislash to deal with Mega Venusaur and for those fairies that blocks
outrages I'll leave Excadrill to check them with choice scarf Iron head.

RE: Dragonite and Friends (OU)

If you opt for Azumarill over Landorus-T, then you would still have a solid revenge-killer.
