There’s a lot to talk about with regards to Mew VMAX in the Silver Tempest format. Although it only gets one card from the new set, and that card doesn’t change a whole lot for the deck, there are a lot of interesting meta interactions with Mew VMAX. Lugia VSTAR‘s introduction into the meta is largely good for Mew, as it is a favorable matchup. However, Lugia VSTAR can tech for Mew VMAX to swing the matchup back into their favor, but Lugia VSTAR can do that for any matchup. Lugia VSTAR can be built several different ways, and it won’t always be teching for every matchup. Other decks can still tech Drapion V, but Mew VMAX  can deal with it in a few ways, which I will talk more about below. It will always be a meta...

But fusionless build can’t consistently hit 280 after using power tablets unless you play cylene then it’s on a coin flip! Not worth it just play the aggressive and still quite consistent fusion build. Also, sometimes that turn 1 KO can make or break a game.

You're only needing to hit 280 once typically. Mew plays plenty of gust, and the idea is the Lugia player almost always has 2 2-prizers on the bench that are targetable - either Crobat/Lumineon, or they have a Lugia V on the bench. If they don't have any of those, reach for 280, if they do, just hit for 220 (or 190 if that's enough) and that will suffice.

Too bad forest seal stone is already banned in standard
That's specific to Pokemon TCG Live and temporary; there's a bug that allows the Stone's ability to be used repeatedly under certain circumstances. It's still allowed for real life play and for use in PTCGO.

For future reference, if a card gets banned there will be an article on this site and it'll happen a little before the release of a new set. If you see a ban on PTCGO or PTCGL, it's due to a bug.

Though it's also glitched on PTCGO because Path turns it off lmao
