Pokemon Defense Curl

It mentions somewhere in DPPt in a book or something that the reason a Pokemon can be captured is because they curl up into a ball so that they can rest/regain energy, which is why they are PokeBalls not PokeSquares, because they are about the same shape. Wouldn't that mean (hypothetically) that a Pokemon using Defense Curl would be slightly easier to catch because its already curled up into a ball??

Depends on the capture rate, I guess. That really wouldn't make that much of a difference...

Kould be, but to me it always seemed that a pokemon is harder to katch when its stats are higher than normal. But your thought makes sense.

Maybe someone should do a study of the anime to see if any wild pokemon that the characters tried to catch used defense curl =P

Well, there isn't logic when it comes to an artificial world. If pokemon were real, I don't think it would matter. When a pokemon is caught, it de-materializes, and re-materializes, curled up in a pokeball. That's why giant pokemon are catchable in a small ball. So, I don't think the physical attributes of a pokemon affects it's catchability.

what the...?

Please contribute more to the topic of discussion that this with your posts - if you do not understand the topic or think it is odd, it's normally better to not post at all rather than post like that. Thanks. ~Xous

lol I would assume that Pokeballs are round because they are easier to hold that way. Plus, "GO POKECUBE!" just doesn't quite have the same charm, y'know? :p

I just Think it would make less sense if it was called anything else. And I would think a pokemon using defence curl would be harder to catch because it's defense stat raises.

Or even better, "GO POKECONTAINER MECHANISM". Pokebal is a "user-friendly term", and I think that's why it was used.

Ah! And a common mistake, ''Poké Ball'' is written like this, not like Pokéball or Pokeball. Sorry for my nerdyness :3
