Deck Submissions 'Cleaning'?

I just have a single suggestion for the site, and I think that the general consensus (from what I've heard) has problems with this also. Clearly by the topic name I mean the Deck Submissions forums.

Honestly, I think it's a bit unfair to some users. Big-time deck makers or more popular members get more attention than needed, even if the deck was just made from boredom or a new idea that sprouted in their head, whilst other users may get 1 or 2 replies at best, but they really need the help on their decks for some POP tournament. I just think that having a forum where the big guys stay up and the little guys get pushed down more is a bit unfair, mainly for the reason I stated.

I tried to think through ways to possibly help this matter, but the only way I could think of was to separate the Modified (And perhaps the Unlimited, I haven't been in there enough to see if this fate befalls Unlimited, too) Deck Submissions into two groups. But how do you determine the groups? Well you could do something like lower postcounts go in one section, higher ones go elsewhere, but what would that really help with? You could do deck help as opposed to decks from boredom, but that helps with nothing either, and we've already got the Strategy forum for that. What if it was made into POP/Sanctioned decks as opposed to decks made for fun? Well that could work, but then members could lie about what they're using the deck for.

So really there is no way to solve this problem (As far as I can think of at the moment). But I'm sure there is some way to fix this. Can anyone give any criticism towards this fault we seem to have?

I can agree, something has to be done.
However as soon as we appoint a deck garage for "Lesser players" if you will, then you are starting to segregate Pokebeach making a specific "n00b' forum. What we could do is create a small group to go around daily and seriously rate decks to help others out. That would be helpful in getting around 10 or so posts on every deck.

Only problem I see is how we'll be able to know whether the deck is actually looked over by a credible or experienced player. Just because the post count is high doesn't mean input was actually there. If you read my sig, that's how I'm dealing with this problem.

One incorrect way people try to do is to bump their decklist, resulting in a useless effort as we see one guy doing nothing but asking for help.

Secondly, Duke did mention some deckhelper program of some sort. Only time will tell where that'll go.

Also most Clans & Clubs are willing to help out their members decklists. If we can educate the newer members right off the bat, then they shouldn't have any trouble joining a Clan and getting some help. I'm also interested in Duke's helper program. That should be OK.

On a side note, Zyflair, how has that deck help been going? I checked it out and it looks alright. How many people have you gotten at the moment?

Aren't they already separated? =|

He ment seperate the Modified Deck Garage into: (Paraphrasing)
People who need your help.
People who don't need your help as much.

Then possibly seperate the Unlimited Deck Garage too. I'm pretty sure that's what he means.

unfortunately there is no way feasible to separate the forums any more than they already are. Also the deck help will be starting soon. Just look for a strategist to reply in the thread

Not many, I only get roughly one request every week. And it's usually a deck with about 4 replies on it, so I think it somewhat helps.

I'd be glad to help if you need any Duke.
