Dawn, Ash and Brock stepped off the ferry from Sinnoh

"I'll be going to Pewter City" Brock said
"Yeah and me and Dawn will go see Prof. Oak in Pallet !" Ash replied
"Well, see ya !" Brock replied
"Ash, how many Pokemon does Prof. Oak own ?" Dawn questioned
"Well, he doesn't own them, he takes care of them" Ash replied
"Wow, he does ?" Dawn replied. Dawn has the fantasy where she's taking care off all the Lab Pokemon

"Prof. Oak, it's me Ash ! And I brought a guest !" Ash shoutrd
"Ash ? Is that you ?" Mrs. Ketchum questioned running into the hallway
"Oh, dear, you have a girlfriend !" Mrs. Ketchum stated. Dawn and Ash blushed and Ash snapped,
"Mom ! She's not my girlfriend, she's a friend, who happens to be a girl"
"I'm sorry, what your name ?" Mrs. Ketchum questioned
"Dawn" Dawn replied
"Oh well nice to meet you Dawn !" Mrs. Ketchum said. Prof. Oak came in
"Well, hello there Ash !" Prof. Oak stated. Prof. Oak led them to the back of the Lab. Dawn's eyes lit up as she saw all the Pokemon, being free and running wild
"Prof. Oak, this my friend Dawn. She's from Sinnoh" Ash stated
"Sinnoh, eh ? You know Prof. Rowan ?" Prof. Oak questioned. Dawn nodded

After all that, it was nighttime and Dawn was worried
"Dawn ? Is something wrong ?" Ash questioned
"Oh no, it's jsut, I'm anxious to start my journey in Kanto, and I really want to tell my mom about it" Dawn stated

And so, with a good night's sleep and rarer Pokemon on the horizon, Ash and Dawn started their journey through Kanto
 
I'll post Chapter 2 later but, time to show their Trainer Cards upon completion of the story

How dose dawn get a torterra isn't ash supose to get grotle or torterra.

also what happend to staravia or staraptor

Chapter 2--Getting Started

The sun shown brigthly into Ash's house.
"Today's the day, I start my Kanto journey !" Dawn said. Ash and Dawn left most of their Pokemon. Dawn stuck with Piplup and Ash took Pikachu and Aipom. While in the forest, Dawn found a Pikachu
"Aw ! I want you SO bad !" Dawn shouted. The Pikachu licked it's paws and rubbed them on top of it's head
"Piplup, go !" Dawn shouted. Piplup appeared out it's ball
"Piplup, use Bubblebeam !" Dawn ordered. The Bubblebeam hit Pikachu and created a cloud of smoke
"Go ! Poke Ball !" Dawn said. The Poke Ball hit the Pikachu and sucked it inside. The ball rocked a couple of times before stopping
"Awesome ! I caught a Pikachu !" Dawn exclaimed. Piplup agreed in unison. Then, Pikachu popped out of it's ball and jumped onto Dawn's shoulder
"It seems like that Pikacdhu wants to be out in the fresh air" Ash said
"Really ?" Dawn questioned, hugging Pikachu, her hair sprang up and Ash was chuckling
"Hm, ah ! Not again !" Dawn moaned
"Don't worry, you'll be fine" Ash said

As they reached the end of the forest a Pidegot appeared. Ash closely examined the Pidegot and said, "Pidegot ? Is that you ?" Pidegot nodded
"It's really great to see you again !" Ash replied. Pidegot gave Ash it's Poke Ball and he returned it into it's Poke Ball

And so, Dawn and Ash left Viridian Forest ready for the next step in their journey
 
I haven't read your Fic, but that is because its only two chapters long thus far, and the chapters are only a few lines long. ELABORATE settings, battles, and other such things. i'm not too big on fics with the actual characters, but if someone can write a seriously good story, and get more involved with each chapter than dialogue, then i'll definately read it.
 
Okay, but I'm going away for a couple of hours, but I'll be back by 5:00 or so, I'll do Chapter 3 then
 
make it good. and maybe u can add cameos later! u know? and please put more depth in it! its an awesome story, just kinda hard to follow!
 
Chapter 3--Battle for the Badge

Dawn decided to go for the Gyms and Ribbons. The first Contest is in Cerluean, so Dawn wanted to battle Brock and find out how Gym's work by battling in a Gym herself

"Welcome, Ash and Dawn, now who wants to battle for a badge ?" Brock questioned
"I will" Dawn stepped forward
"It will be a 2-on-2 battle, now go Geodude !" Brock said
"Piplup, come on out !" Dawn exclaimed

The battle ensued as Piplup charged at Geodude
"Piplup, use Bubblebeam !" Dawn ordered. The Bubblebeam hit it's mark and Geodude fell to the ground
"Go Steelix !" Brock exlcaimed. Steelix appeared in a flash of light
"Steelix, Iron Tail !" Brock ordered. Steelix' Iron Tail hit Piplup and sent it flying into the wall
"No, Piplup !" Dawn said, running over to Piplup
"You did goiod, now return" Dawn said, returning Piplup into it's Poke Ball
"Pikachu, it's you're turn !" Dawn said, looking down at Pikachu. Pikachu jumped onto the field
"So, you caught a Pikachu, too" Brock said
"Pikachu, Thunderbolt !" Dawn ordered. Pikachu's Thunderbolt hit Steelix, but didn't do much damage, but it kicked rocks and flung them at Steelix. Steelix was pelted by the rocks and it couldn't avoid them. Steelix toppled to the ground. Dawn ha dwon the Boulder Badge and was one step closer to the Kanto Pokemon League.

NOTE: Dawn caught a Turtwig and Chimchar outside Pewter but couldn't use them do to the 2-in-2 rule
 
Uhh, It's good, but Piplup will evolve in Sinnoh as well as Aipom.

Steelix won't fall over because Pikachu kicked rocks at it. And Fortress is the Gym leader, not Brock.

More description please.
