Ruling Dark Trance & Prism Energy

How does Prism Energy work with Dark Trance?

If its on a basic it must be able to transfer via dark trance. But what if you play the prism energy on a 1st or 2nd step pokemon? Does it become a colorless energy that you can't move or can you still move it?

While Prism Energy is attached to a Basic Pokemon, it does provide {D} Energy, and you can move it with Dark Trance.
Once it becomes attached to a non-Basic Pokemon, it no longer provides {D} Energy, and can no longer be moved. (There may be exceptions - Hydreigon NXD's Dark Aura Ability transforms all Energy attached to it into {D} type, and only that type. You can move any Energy with Dark Trance off of that Hydreigon.)
