Hello PokeBeach readers! Isaiah here, and I am happy to be writing another article for you all. Last time, I talked about one of my favorite decks in the the new Destined Rivals format, Marnie's Grimmsnarl ex. Over the course of the next few weeks after I wrote that article, I worked quite a bit toward making the best deck list that I could for the deck with some of my friends. Ultimately, I ended up submitting the deck for the North America International Championship, where I started 7-1-1 with the deck, but due to a vast series of unfortunate events and perhaps partially because of my play, I finished 7-5-1. I do think that the deck and deck list that I played were pretty strong, but one of Marnie's Grimmsnarl ex's fatal flaws is that the deck is quite poor at getting into games where it is behind unless the opponent's board has a glaring vulnerability to...

320 damage is really nothing to scoff at to be honest, but then you realize there's a brontosaurus with a storm cloud for a beard that does its job way better in a fraction of the setup time and it gets bullied by Grimmsnarl's Froslass posse and loses most of its damage potential.

However, the microsecond it has access to Premium Power Pro, it doesn't need to stack so many Roserade anymore, and it can actually start doing reliable damage much sooner, only needing to worry about Mega Venusaur and Teal Mask ex.

The deck really lacks a draw engine. One of my locals put together a list and it sets up great but has little to no way to get cards reliably in hand to do what the deck needs to do to win.

made an account just to comment abt this… ive been believing in this deck since the card was revealed so im SOO happy to see it got play and recognition!!

It's main flaw is weakness; It is weak to grass types, which have been in big demand in a lot of decks to KO Marnie's Grimmsnarl ex and Charizard ex; Iron Leaves ex, Galvantula, and Teal Mask Ogerpon ex makes this deck tenuous at best, and that's why it did poorly at NAIC.
