Consles geting flimsier?

I got mine after DP came out in October 2007. It broke a few days after. Nintendo fixed it. Now it has a dead pixel.

Yeah, I completely agree....I baught a regular DS a couple years ago, dropped it a few times, no problems. Then I got a DS Lite for Christmas (the one before D/P) and the Hinge Broke like that summer...then I baught a new DS Lite which is working fine ATM but the hinge is still on the verge of breaking off...you can see a break line forming :/ All Three still play fine, I've just had hinge issues :]

Yeah, the DS lite seems to be like that. In fact, I closed it normally one day, and one of the hinges or something broke off (I still have it in a desk somewhere), and now the screen can't support itself, and whenever it bends a little, the top screen flashes. :S

My DS too.
I was trying to use the GBA's insurance policy to get a GBASP. First I would need the GBA to be broken so I could get the SP cheaper. I slammed it around and stuff. It was fine. I asked my dad. Even he couldn`t break that thing. So he dropped it in water. This proves that the GBA original was the sturdiest console ever. But we all know water finds it's ways around things.

!?!? wow... one of mine survived water, but had a comletely cracked screen after falling from 1 inch high!!!

I have dropped my DS (not lite just the regular) on solid concrete three times! And it still works perfectly!! I have also dropped it in other various places, and It still works fine!!

While on the other hand, my friend Caleb, dopped his DS LITE on the ground one time, and it snapped right in half, the top had to be ducktaped back on, but it didn't work... And he also forgot to set it so that gameboy games are played on the bottom screen...

Yes I agree systems have gotten weaker. I have to transport my wii from my two different houses sometimes and everytime I do it freaks out and doesn't work for like 5ish minutes. My Gamecube on the other hand has been on 2 hour road trips bannging around in the car and never had a problem.

Gameboy Advances are amazing they can survive like, everything.

strange...

My Ds lite has survived Being in a bowl of HOT washing up water for 10 odd secs
Chucked up whil open and hitting a high ceiling, then landing on a concret floor ( My brother tickled me!)

And its still fine
but I agree, Consoles are getting too thin, I prefer the Old Gameboy Pockt just cus it was thick
