Ruling Celebi EX and Politoed FUF

I was wondering if Celebi's ability allows Politoad to use its under stages attacks without having the colorless energy. Does this count as Politoad's attack or Poliwhirl

Politoad is a Politoad, even if it can use other attacks. You still need the colorless.

If im not mistaken we are waiting on an official ruling for this.

Well, the general ruling is that attacks that a Pokemon doesn't have but can just "use" don't actually belong to the Pokemon, anyway (Mew EX and Round, for example.) There already has been a ruling that Mew EX does not get the benefit of King's Song if it uses a Poliwhirl/Polywag/Poliwrath attack. I would be very surprised if a ruling came forth that said you could ignore the colorless.

Basically the ruling is that it does not apply for Politoed, but it does apply for Poliwrath.

PokePop from the gym had this to say about using Mew in this situation:
"Mew would need 3 Energy of any type."
