Oh yeah, and does anyone know how to beat the giant ghost-shooting artichoke thing that the robot turns in to?

I enjoyed this game the first time through (on Easy... I'm a weemp :3), but now I can't go through it again. -.-

As you're getting out of the labyrinth curly finds a broken down robot, that yells something about retreating then turns in to a hydra plant thing. It shoots ghosts and balls of lights out of it's heads and raises the water level. It also makes wind, or strong currents.

Nevermind, that's the Core. I. HATED. HIM.

As odd as it sounds, one of the most important things is to ensure you don't drown. Do you have Booster 2.0, or 0.8? With 0.8 make sure right when the water is about to rise too high you get a quick breather, in case Core tries to blow you with his wind.

For actual battle tactics, I don't remember a lot, but make sure you drain your cheap-o missiles. Those things are the stongest weapon in the game. (Besides fully-powered blade) Make sure you dodge his power balls, and... That's really all you can say. -.-

I need to play this again, it's on my DSi... I take it everywhere. I sense loneliness. =p

Cave Story is a good game, I may get the deluxe edition on PC again, not sure though

Thanks for the tips SOTS. Imma try again tonight.
EDIT: I level grinded all my weapons, then beat it pretty easily with the snake and missiles. Now to get past these stupid spikes in the water place.
