Cash Prizes for Nationals Announced!

Sounds cool. Hopefully my Play! account issues can get cleared up so I can play in nationals.
 
I can't remember, but don't you need some points to go to Nationals? My account suddenly deleted them all. Well, this isn't good.

Does anyone know when we should be there for Nationals? I know that the TCG page says it starts on July 1, but what time do events usually start happening?

I am trying to book a hotel for the weekend and didn't know if we needed to be there the night before so that if things start early on the 1st then we will already be there instead of still driving to Columbus...
 
If you're under 18, does that mean you have no choice but to save that money for college and if I do, what if I don't want to go to college?
