Ruling Card names question

hey I only play with my kid bro so my rule book is like 10 years out of date. so I do have a deck construction question.
am I allowed to have something like 4 mewtwo and 4 team rocket's mewtwo or are they treated as the same pokemon? and does this apply to delta, shining, star, ex, lvX, Dark and light, and G pokemon as well?

I have been treating them all as the same pokemon, but I was curious as it would cause problems if you could only have 4 of 1 Pokemon including its Lv X

Well, Rocket's Mewtwo has a different name from regular ol' Mewtwo, so you can have four of each. Basically, just look at their name and see if there's anything added on the end. BTW, you can't have more that one * Pokemon of a kind in a deck anyway.
 
This is how it goes: (Note I am using imaginary cards here, just for the sake of it)

Mewtwo
Dark Mewtwo
Mewtwo Ex
Light Mewtwo
Mewtwo G
Shining Mewtwo
Mewtwo *

Those are all different names. As such, you can have 4 of each in your deck (But only one of the *, which is noted on the card itself).

However

Mewtwo Delta Species
Mewtwo LV.X
Mewtwo LV70
Mewtwo

Are all treated the same, as such, a max total of 4 of these combined.
