Not really. Remember Mysterious Treasures' Alakazam?
Though I do think they will just make an Alakazam-EX to go with the Mega and that's it.
They're not going to repeat MT's Alakazam, right? Otherwise it gets frighteningly obvious.
Though I guess they'll make it an EX sooner or later ... but still no Kadabra or Abra.
But TPCi is strange - there's so many Pokémon they can make an EX of and they keep on repeating a few.

I hope the reveal M/Aerodactyl EX and M/Mawile soon...I wonder if they will try to one-up themselves with over-the-top damage output possibilities.

Wowzas! That Gallade art is really awesome - it reminds me of Rising Rivals actually. Surprises me that 5ban made it, actually, it looks really detailed!

What makes the card so good, imo, is that the Ability has great synergy with Maxie. You can use the ability to rearrange the top cards so you can guarantee the right draw to stream Maxies. What perhaps worries is me is with such a good card there is possibly going to be a Supporter locker also released in this set.

Fighting Type.

Maxie's Hidden Ball Trick makes this card extremely good. 130 for a DCE, combined with Strong Energy, Fighting Stadium, Muscle Band ETC means you're easily hitting for 180 or more.

The ability is also pretty good.

What this also hints to me is that we're going to be getting another Ralts and Kirlia, just one set since since the last one. Hopefully this set comes with a more playable Gardevoir.

The only problem is that Maxie's and Archie's both lose their support to get them out easily. With Jirachi, computer search, and superior energy retrieval all leaving standard, the diffuculty is get a Maxie's out on turn one or turn 2. If it takes longer than that its better just to evolve it naturally. I toyed with a Mega Lucario deck that uses Maxie but was XY on and I felt that you had to devote your whole deck to getting it out and even then it wasn't consistent. I used ultra balls, Maintenance, battle compressors, vs seekers and 4 maxies because without jirachi you need it in you hand many times. It just isn't consistent like computer search and jirachi are. That being said it might be a good deck for expanded which can use those cards to boost the consistency.

I've switched over to a fighting deck slowly. I am excited for this card cause I love Gallade, and am excited to see yet again, another playable one.

This card is weird in that it seems viable; however, idk how it will fit in. A deck devoted to the stage two on its own seems... lackluster. The ability and tons of fighting support can help you set up quicker; however, the ever present item lock will force the stage two version of the deck into rogue status. Maxieing it seems good as it is likely a great way to get the card into play as a tech. Sadly though the only potential I see in it is as a tech is in Vespiqueen (maybe night march) because it already has battle compressor and DCE in the list and if you don't need Gallade it counts as an extra 10-20 damage depending on how many you run. Plus it gets the added benefit of premonition with unknown to get a wanted card instead of a random one. But at the same time it doesn't get the added typing from the eeveelutions and premonition doesn't initially net you cards like Shaymin EX and Octillery (from this same set) do. I guess we'll just have to wait and see (as usual) when it comes to this card's success.

Combine Cresselia with that stadium that knocks one energy off of cost requirements for psychic-types, and you have a free switch-in mon that does 70 for 2 energy. Cresselia was made to act on the support that's already out there and legal.

Seems fair for when you need something that can take a hit for the team. May or may not be a nice compliment for a funsies version of Night March.

It's interesting as a lead Pokemon, but I'm not sure if it's worth the deck space.

Freaking amazing for like a theme deck or for someone who wants to make a deck for kids to play, but as a Tiered card it's pretty non-viable.

Reading through the topic since the Gallade reveal makes me feel sad, yet again, for the state of Stage 2's in this game. :( Break kind of promised a fix but didn't deliver much at all.

Gallade is actually a really good card, both in attack and ability. As someone who has been playing with Lunatone (PLS 73) a lot lately, I've found rearranging just two cards to be extremely useful. Five cards is just dreamy!

Cresselia is nothing special, though I guess it could be nice to have a free retreat'er pretty much constantly. If only her attack was useable.

Imagine this Gallade in a format without EXs though.

All though if I had a quid for every time that's been said about a card...

Ugh. Terrible card.

I find it strange that its a common in the Japanese set. Maybe it will be an uncommon in the English set?

Guess we'll wait and see.

Unlike M-EXs, your turn doesn't end when you BREAK evolve a Pokemon.

Cresselia: With the ability, Cresselia joins Emolga-EX as the bulkiest floater, but isn't worth 2 prizes. It's attack is nothing special, but 70 can easily be 90 with Muscle Band. If only it had a single energy attack. Still, Basic Pokemon with free retreat are rare. The only use I can think of for it now is a filler starter that can retreat to the desired starter (even under Wobbuffet).

Gallade: Excellent Stage 2. It's a free Pokedex every turn. There are plenty of attacks/items that could utilize knowing and arranging the top 5 cards. Ether instantly comes to mind.

Unlike Empoleon, Gallade only sets up what you will draw and doesnt get you any cards itself.

Im asking about having to wait a turn before break evolving.
Yes, it's exactly like regular evolution otherwise. Which means it would take 4 consecutive turns at best without any modifications by cards (I don't remember if there's anything like Broken Time-Space in rotation) to turn Chespin into Chesnaught-Br

Actually, with forest of giant plants, it would only take 1 turn for chesnaught br
