Standard Ban Mimikyu

It's an auto win! No damage from ex's or V's, then why did you event make the cards in the first place. My one out was stuck in my prize card pool. 😫

I hope you're joking/venting. There are few if any meta decks it auto-wins against. If you're not playing a meta deck, well, either put more outs in your deck, or take the L...it's not like every deck plays Mimikyu.

I actually can’t believe people would rather ban a card than do the hard work to find a work around.

Mimikyu is actually kind of a good card to have in standard in my opinion. It gives control decks a way to stop 1 big ex from just taking all of the prizes.

Here are some suggestions:

Watch out for Pokémon that let you put damage counters on your opponent's Pokémon instead of dealing direct damage. For instance, ... that very same Mimikyu. That's the reason why every deck that has a Mew ex in its list automatically has a build-in counter to Mimikyu. Just copy Mimikyu's Ghost Eye attack and taaadaaa, that annoying pikachu copycat is swept out of the way by a copycat killer.
Playin a tera deck or any deck that takes advantage of fan rotom's fan call ability? I think it's no coincidence that its attack deals exactly 70 damage for just one arbitrary energy. The designers probably had this scenario in mind when creating this card.
Playin an evolution deck with a stage 1 or 2 ex? Why not just add one copy of the non-ex version of your main attacker? It almost certainly uses the same energy types and should be able to OHKO this timid little lad.
Or search your favorite database for a Pokémon with an attack that says something like "this attack's damage isn't affected by any effects on your opponent's Pokémon".
Or just add more bosses into your deck and don't worry at all about that psychic nuissance.
Playin expanded? Canceling Cologne might help you, as certain Pokémon don't like that loud smell.

It's part of your deck building to consider common threats like Mimikyu (or PAR Aegislash, PRE Sylveon, or the new DRI Crustle) and to check whether your list is capable of facing them.
