It is true that EXes are a bit more weight but it is realy minimun so u can hardly know that
plus they are curved, but that's the reason they're in the middle. so the other cards won't allow you to find out which packs have what in 'em.
i'd just go to Ebay. that's easiest.

some of us have problem with ebay becouse they dont send some things in slovenia even if it is written worldwide
i remember 1 time when i bought LM booster i sense a hard booster, i chose it and guess what i got, hell its crap fossil reverse holo!!!!
i know a guy who plays yugiboh or whatever it's called and he says that any type of TCG in any game the good card packs way a fraction more than any other pack. so he gets a little weight thingy and takes it to Wal-Mart and ways packs, and picks the one that weighs the weight he wants. and i don't think he's ever gotten a pack that didn't have a good card in it. it annoys the heck out of me cause i can't find out what part is different than the normal pack!!!

I believe the guy you know uses a jeweler's scale. I've heard that you weigh the packs with them and they have a different weight if they're ex. well, exs might weigh more coz they are almost filled with holographics

It isn't right, because other customers then get booster packs with no holos or ex's. How would you like that if that happened to you?
If you buy a booster box ($72 for 36 boosters, $2 per booster), depending on the set, you will get 2-4 Pokémon-ex. Delta Species and Holon Phantoms only have 1 ex. You also have a decent chance of getting a Shining Pokémon. Out of a Delta Species box, I pulled a Shining Groudon, and out of a Legend Maker box, I pulled a Shining Regice.

you'd be suprised at how many shop owners are okay with it.
my friend did this at a local card shop here, and the owner was completely fine with it (then again, he'd usually drop anywhere from 200-400 on cards fromt he shop each month).
i've also heard stories of people taking scales to walmarts, and targets, and weighing blister packs (individual packs with the cardboard/plastic encasing). . .and getting away with it.

Who told you? Lei? But me too believe it cause he bought only 2 boosters and got Zapdos ex secret holo ex!!!
It might work with YGH, but not with Pokémon.
With reverse holos in every pack, the only difference in weight is if there's 2 holos in the booster. So you can use the method to get a holo card, but not necessarily an EX.

To answer the first question... No, there are no 'cheats' to get good cards.
The weight difference between holos/Ex's/Shinings are so small that you need an electroic scale that measures in micrograms, and no, noone would buy one let alone carry one to a store to measure booster pack weight differences. The whole idea of it is absurd.
