and graph them both, which i did. then simply find out where on the graph they intersect. i got two results, which explains bacon's imaginary answers.
1. x=7.91111111
y= 5.11111111
2. x~=2.71...
y~=.000000008...
the ... means it goes on nonterminating nonrepeating--the bar above the number means it goes on forever repeating that number.
P.S. what math is your sister in? i mustve skipped this cause i am past calculus and never did anything like this.
