hey im from the UK, Nottingham to be exact and i have a few questions

1: are the starter deck cards legal in limited? if some are some arnt..just say which

2: im trying to build a colourless deck too..which starter deck is best, if any are legal and what packs should i buy?

3: is there such a deck as a competative wigglytuff deck in limited?

4: i am also a yugioh player..what are the staple cards for limited format?

i know of:

rare candy when your running 2 stage 2 pokemon or something like that

holon "insert name here" .. most powerful cards come from here

castform. pot of greed ( yugioh card of Bill ) on steriods

any others?

1. Not all are. On the main page you can find a link that shows all the sets & starter decks. The ones from Deoxys & up are legal. Sadly lots of the older, not legal, starter decks are floating around in stores.

2. Colorless deck ... that's probably about the most difficult to pull off right now. Most decks use at least two colors in them and few choose colorless as one of them. If I were to do this I would probably use Exploud, Exploud EX, or Slacking as my main focus.

3. Haven't seen one.

4. Sounds about right to me. Of the Holon trainers, the Holon Transceiver is far and away the most critical. Most good decks play the max, 4, of them.

1: thnx
2: well i wanna try it
3: aww the familys too cute not to be :(
4:tranciever is intresting...but how many holon cards would you play to run 4 successfully?

would you say the ratio of pokemon / trainers / energy is around 20:23:17 or somewhat more varied?

The Holon's Castaform pokemon throws off the energy numbers in most strong decks. Since it can either a fantastic starter early in the game *or* two energy of your choice later many decks use 4 of them and reduce energy. Super competitive decks may have a little as 10 energy, though I personally find it hard to play with that little.

The "Holon Engine" varies from deck to deck but it might look like this:
4 Holon Transceiver
3 Holon Mentor
2 Holon Researcher
1 Holon Adventurer

Optional:
1 Holon Lass
1 Holon Farmer
1 Holon Scientist

Personally I always run Lass & Farmer but rarely include Scientist. I use Copycat instead.

Holon Engine Depends on the Deck. What i Normal Would play (With Queen):

4 Transceiver
4 Mentor
1 Adventurer (If having many Delta's (More than a 2-1-2 Queen), 2)
1 Researcher
1 Farmer

Sometime's a Scientist or a Lass

can you explain the 2-1-2 stuff?..im confused

2 Basic pokemon.
1 Stage 1 that evolves from the basic.
2 Stage 2 that evolve from the stage 1.

This works because of the Rare Candy trainer card that allows you to evolve straight from basic to stage 2.

so no-one runs 4-2-1 since rare candy came out..:(

on the gb game i used to run

4 machop
2 machoke
1 machamp

2x pokeball

thats an example if i want to run an evo line...and i run 2 usually in the game decks

hey guys sorry to double post n all but i still havnt had a FULL answer to my first question

just say yes or no to each please

1. Second two, yes.  First two, no, though there are useful cards in there.
2. All legal, for now.
3. All legal up to the one with Rayquaza on it (slipstream)
