On a more serious note, I love how every single evolutionary line (from what I can tell) has had art done by the same artist, in the same style. I don’t think they’ve ever done that before for an entire set

Also side note I'm assuming ex cards in the main set will have illustration rares too but I'm not sure... Guess we'll have to see

This set is actual garbage. Okay, to be fair there are definitely playable cards in it, but nothing has any "wow" factor. Just a bunch of tech cards and no new flashy archetype.

I guess just wait for Megas as the next big thing.

I was excited at first, to see prism energy, meloetta, jellicent/frillish and ignition energy, but the rest of the set seems pretty poor even by Destined rival standards.

i think the only cards people are looking for: meloetta ex, ignition energy, prism energy, alomola might be useful for bringing back 70hp basics you had to discard, air balloon, hilda, brave bangle(gives umpf to typhlosion, and gadget show rotom), archeops(if there were easier ways to summon restored pokemon without the use of the fossil item like in previous sets it might actually be disruptive to rare candied pokemon. but with so much item lock with budew in the current meta, and upcoming frillish, it wont see play., the least they could do with fossil items is allow it to instantly evolve if you have the stage 1 in your hand on the turn you played it(not your very first turn) they should give a buff to fossil, but fossil have been neglected forever.


-genesect ex is definitely going to be mostly used for archuladon, metang, and metagross ex only. its not as versatile as if was able to get 2 basics instead like miriadon ex is for electric type.

elektrik is definitely going to see play for electric pokemon, and possibly bolt decks as alternative to the Iono version. although they can also use the team rockets spidops too. maybe a 1 or 2 off if possible for bolt.

harlequin is the nerfed version of lucien, same effect. but lucien draws 6 cards instead of 5. similar ards: Marnie>Iono/N>lucien> harlequin.

-no unfenzant, previous unfenzent iterations seems much more powerful than the new one.

this is generally weaker than the OG black and white set which this was based on.

Is this Hydreigon ex finally the use case for TM Blindside after so long and so many teases? From the current translated wording it seems like it’d work with a bench snipe attack it doesn’t actually have. Just ko’ing something with damage from an attack should trigger it.
