Help Absol's Curse Inquiry

It's a condition, and like all conditions it goes away when the pokemon moves to the bench

The way Absol's attack works is it applies to "the Defending Pokemon." That refers to only that Pokemon, so if it gets switched out, it no longer becomes the Defending Pokemon. This would even apply if you retreated, then used a Switch card to put it back to the Active spot. Like Crownaxe said, it is permanently removed once it goes to the bench.
