i suggest you not only keep trying, but try to improve as well

For background, try something that fits both pokemon. in this case, you could try a brown-ish rocky background. You definetly need a better source for your images, since these are of horrible quality. And last but not least, find a website where you can download new fonts from, and again pick one that fits the basic theme.

as i see it now, this banner is: random images, random font, random background, random everything.

i give it a 2/10

Yeah. The surrounding of the E-Vire still has some blue spots around it...just try to clean that up a bit. 1001freefonts.com works well too, if you want the cool fonts like SixaxiS suggested.
