Hey everyone! This is Charlie and I’m super excited to be back with another article. I’ve been working pretty hard on my testing lately, but unfortunately haven’t come up with anything super fun that’s also good into this meta.

I’ve been playing Gardevoir ex decks throughout some events in this new format, which got me enough locals finishes to polish off my invite, but with that done, I’d love to shift my focus to a more interesting deck at the moment: Arceus VSTAR / Umbreon VMAX. I’ve played against this deck a few times throughout my adventures at locals and also played against it a whopping 3 times during my Hartford run, and this...

I understand that individuals here post to make money and all that validation, but are there EVER any free articles? Haven’t seen one in a hot minute. Seems pointless to paywall. I assume you are gonna justify it all so go off.

There was a free one not long ago, precisely. The only one I've ever seen, though. Maybe it was a coding mistake or something?

I mean, like, there are so many more resources out there to learn the ropes of the game, and even if I was playing seriously enough that I would want to pay for something apart from packs/singles, I'd much rather pay for coaching sessions than this.

I once read that paywalls began appearing when writers realized that even if they put the effort to produce articles, not much people would pay them attention, so unless they got money out of it, it wasn't worth the effort. That's why, when I saw that one free article recently, I commented and showed my gratitude.

thats what YT is for. This isnt a big shot corperation. you have to pay to keep up the site. otherwise Pokebeach wouldnt be here

"otherwise Pokébeach wouldn't be here"

Sorry, I just don't know how to quote and answer at the same time, lol :p

Yes, obviously that's a pretty good point.

Still, do you really think Youtube content is hastily procuced, bad quality content? Some "pokétubers" probably do that, but I think that for example Omnipoke, to name one, is pretty good, and produces high quality content, while also being fast at it.

EDIT: Just to be clear, my goal here is not to criticize your system or anything. I think Pokébeach is a great website, and if putting articles about competitive decks behind a paywall is how it is kept alive, I won't be the one to criticize it. I can still get fresh, swift news -and translations- about the card game thanks to you. Your work in that regard is invaluable.

The funny thing is the decks these “professionals” post are just Japanese meta lists they barely tweaked lol and ran through ChatG.

Lets be honest. If you are ranting BC you have to pay for a commodity, you are just ranting BC YOU think that that's stupid to pay for. "It'S oVeRpRiCeD"
I have 2 things to say about that.
1. Look at our economy. Just do it.
2. YOU ARE PROBABLY SPENDING WAY TOO MUCH TIME AND MONEY ON POKEMON TO BEGIN WITH. I CAN PROBABLY SAY THAT MOST EVERYONE ON THIS SITE (including me) DOES TOO!!! FINANCIALS SHOULD BE THE LEAST OF YOUR CONCERNS!!!

Weell, at first I was saying that if I was serious enough in the game I'd probably not be paying for this anyway. That doesn't mean I think the system is unjust or anything, I just didn't stop to think that this might be the main sustenance for Pokébeach. Otherwise I wouldn't have said something that might put anyone on the defensive. So sorry for that :(

And no, actually I was talking a hypothetical case, I don't buy real packs or anything, I just play the online game, in which I've spent some money, but not as much as I'd have spent on the real game.

I'd probably love to play the real game as well, but those insane prices -at least for someone living in Barcelona-, and my work schedule keep me from trying :p Well, that and that I've heard that card game communities are not very welcoming of women, but I don't know how much true that is.

Great analysis on the synergy between Arceus VSTAR and Umbreon VMAX! The strategic depth and versatility they bring to the deck really highlight the evolving meta. It's fascinating to see how these cards can shift gameplay dynamics. Looking forward to testing out some of the strategies discussed here and seeing how they hold up in different matchups.
Sometimes, finding free resources feels like stumbling upon hidden treasures. Speaking of resources, if you're looking for financial options in Ohio, https://paydaysay.com/payday-loans-in-ohio/ could be helpful. They offer payday loans and other financial services that might suit your needs.
