(1) Secret Projects, Lack of Updates = Many Reasons [7/29]

I alos felt the earthquake. I live in southern california. Nothing happened though. It was nice.

I know right? nothing happened to me either, and I heard that there were 27 aftershocks but very minor, although I did feel two of them but they lasted about half a second =/

sorry about the bad luck WPM. California is awesome. but at the same time, it's scary. they have earthquakes and wildfires (i'm not a fan of fire). But i would really love to visit California sometime. i live on the southern part of the east coast (if you consider Virginia southern). The worst we get here are floods, severe thunderstorms almost everyday (which i enjoy), some tornadoes and some hurricanes.

i'm excited about the 2 projects you mentioned! new pokebeach stuff=amazingly awesome. i can't wait to see what they are when you put them up :]

WPM, you want more "death-free earthquakes" even though you TV broke and your DSL went out again?
The TV isn't normally on the edge of its stand. The DSL didn't go out a few years ago when we had an equake either. It's just bad luck.

Still, lucky nobody was hurt, but it'd help to move away from California, its just an unlucky spot. By the way, if your DSL is out, and apparently there is no power, how did you post your update?
California unlucky? It's the best place to live. No tornadoes, no hurricanes, no trouble. An occasional 10-second equake every 10 or so years. That's pretty good. And I never said the power went out. The part of the plant that was set on fire was apparently for other cities, which lead to a few of them having outages.

Yeah but now I'm hearing about some gigantic earthquake happening. How are those two secret projects coming along? And also, Mamoswine for the TCG was revealed today!

Yeah, you better be bracing for the 4-5 min. 7.8 magnitude EQ expected in California. Doesn't sound like a good place when that happens...

dmaster out.

Yeah so don't get a new TV :). Good luck facing it though.

The fact that this earthquake was felt so far away means the fault line shifted a lot; the mildness of the quake simply means th shift was smooth. This may just be the "super-earthquake" everyone has been dreading. Of course, it may not, as I'm no seismologist.

I've seen snow, and I've been out in it, and it sure looks a lot more pleasant on TV than it does in real life. My face gets numb within seconds, it's really slippery, and I don't have any snow chains if I have to go driving in the snow. I prefer things snow-free, though we could use a bit more rain.

As for disconnection on the behalf of Actiontec, what I do is that I set up my laptop to receive and transmit wireless signals. I connect an ethernet cord from the gateway to the laptop and place it right next to the Wii. I turn on this ability of my computer to do this, and I have my Wii set through Manual Setup. I haven't been disconnected from Mario Kart Wii since, even though before, I could hardly play a complete match without getting disconnected (and losing hundreds of VR points each time it happens). I don't know if you can do that with your computer, as I use an Apple, but this seems to be working fine for me. I still get disconnected from SSBB, but only once after every five days of play or so and only at the Online Practice Stage.

Well how often do you get snow there?

It doesn't snow in California...
Exactly.(there's no snow in hell)

Then whats that white ice down in Yosemite that I went to this last winter, styrofoam?

Yosemite National Park is technically part of central California, if I remember my boundaries correctly. There is snow in southern California, but only on the top of high mountains. The frost line in Los Angeles, where I'm at right now, is usually about 5,000 feet (1.7 km) in January. That's the only time of the year it's lower than the mountains.
