A new trademark for Storm Emeralda (ストームエメラルダ) has been filed by Pokemon. It's under the same terms as trademarks used for set names in the past.

The name sounds like it's referring to Rayquaza, the mascot of Pokemon Emerald who lives in the ozone layer. If so, the set could feature Mega Rayquaza ex. In the lore of the games, Rayquaza was the first Pokemon to ever Mega Evolve.

M Rayquaza-EX was the star of 2015's XY: Roaring Skies set.

If I'm correct our novemberset is combined with Mega Charizard X M1a, (Mega) Greninja M1b and Mega Rayquaza ex M2 (they did double minisets a while ago) so that is a opportunity and rayquazas set really doesnt feel like the high class pack this year.

Finally, A Rayquaza chase set. It'll be over 4 years since Evolving Skies that we got a new chase Raquaza. Gengar next please. And no the theme deck mega one coming doesnt count. I want an alt art Mega Gengar

Theres no confirmation that we are having an a and b is there?

Considering this comes after an English set that will combine Mega Charizard, Mega Greninja and Mega Gengar, I can't wait for English to be equally oblivious to the hype and pair this Mega Rayquaza set with something like Mega Mewtwo.

I feel like this will be the special set and not part of the second megas… Inferno X will already have the Battle Decks (Gengar and Diancie) on it and maybe the Greninja one too, feel like too many carts to put into one single collection if it also includes the Ray one?

Another option I guess would be Inferno X + Battle Decks as Mega 2 and then Greninja + Rayquaza as Mega 3.

3 japanese Sets in one international Set? Like Paldea evolved. But Charizard and Rayquaza in one Set? Would be insane.

If Pokemon AZ will be already released at that point, why would make a Rayquaza set rather than give relevance to the new AZ stuff?... Even if in lore Rayquaza is the first mega, shouldnt AZ events should have priority?🤔

Unless Rayquaza have some relevance on AZ, which I hope is not the case, it already have its time to shine in AR/OS, its Zygarde time (Which never had)

The same like Arceus got the first set introducing new Pokémon 4 months after release. They want to have fans encounter those new pokemon and characters first before they spoil them via the tcg. I personally don't think Rayquaza will have relevance

And even after 4 months, they wont spoil the endgame bosses or mega Pokémon, just the first ones. That's why I assume on the July presents we will see mega greninja so the set doesn't spoil the form.

Could it be that "Storm Emerald" releases instead in January 2026? Typically with previous trademarks they've been at least 6-7 months prior to release date (Battle Partners revealed July 2024, released January 2025). If this really was to be in November, that would only be a shorter 5 months timeframe.
Also, it would be a lot to combine all 4 of Inferno X, Mega Gengar/Mega Diancie decks, and Ninja Spinner plus Storm Emerald into one English set.
