“Mega Evolution” Set Product Lineup Revealed for September!

I don't get what the Pokemon company is smoking with the ETB promos, sometimes they make no sense at all. You have a Riolu promo, make a Ralts one for the Gardevoir box!!! The ugly Alakazam is so out of place... Aside from thay the design of the boxes is really good
I don’t think Japan is concerned about our etbs. And yeah both are mascots of the set but Gardevoir is a stage 2 and we recently had a connected IR for the line. As much as I personally like the line I understand they weren’t that interested in giving them more artsy cards

Also, US players can now play the Psyduck that blocks Dusknoir, since it is now randomly thrown as a promo
It’s not really random? If you take a time to see previous promo cards for these blisters for the regular sets, they’re always Gym promos from Jp (which Psyduck and Golduck are).

Also for who’s complaining about the change on Megas evolving from Kirlia, Riolu, Ivysaur, etc just remember that when they were first released, the EX pokemon were ALL BASIC so the megas were Stage ONE evolutions. If they kept it “mega evolving” the megas would be Stage THREE evolutions which is insane for gameplay.

Also, I assume PCL will be in the set then the other Gym Promos like Pinccurchin, Kangaskhan and the Sleep Tool card will be the final SV Promos.
The Promos for BB/WF are the last SV promos

Gorgeous ETBs, but guess I gotta switch to Lucario for the Riolu. Was right on the money, at least!

Psyduck has gotta be the one of the most playable 3-pack blister promos ever to be released next to Pecharunt.

It wouldn't be all that insane. LV.X and BREAK cards are both previous mechanics that created "Stage 3" evolutions for Stage 2 Pokémon. If anything, TPC probably chose to implement Mega ex the way they did to avoid repeating what happened with the first TCG implementation of Megas, which were mostly unplayable before they added spirit links.

Another four alt holo cards to add to the journey together master set buhzinguh! And all in the checklane blisters, four checklane blisters is more than usual for a set isn’t it?

i really like the little mega emblem design influence on the basic energies... does that mean its set code is MEE? (that or MBE i could not read it very well)

No mention of gold cards. I wonder if the new trainer full arts means they are getting rid of golds altogether.

The first iteration of Megas in the TCG resulted in mon-specific tools to mitigate the downside of the mechanic. Wouldn't be surprised if this time around they made tool cards to bring them down to 2-prizers. Still should have functioned the way BREAKs did to stay more true to the video games.
